Badgerclops was stationed in the living room. He was lying down on the squishy couch, as he had his sketch book in one of his hands. In the other, he had a pen that drew blue ink onto the blank, white paper. He smiled as he drew shapes, evolving those shapes into people he deeply cares about.
'Time to add the cape!' Badgerclops narrated his steps in his brain. As he finished the drawing, he proudly beamed.
He looked at the drawing he made of his favorite cat. A cute sketch of Mao Mao, pridefully posing with his katana. While his drawings did look a little derpy, he still had an adorable style- you could easily make out who or what he drew.
Badgerclops held the drawing close to him, thinking about the cute kitty.
Badgerclops wrote out his feelings to the right of the doodle,

"Mao Mao is my closest friend, and has been for a bit. Very thankful about him being here!
He can be pretty egotistic and have no manners, but he has many pros that make up for this!
He has a soft spot, though he doesn't express this around others.
He is pretty furry, and it's so cute! I just wanna cuddle with him!
He has lovable little paws! He hides his paws because he wants to be seen as tough, but I know the adorable truth!"

He looked delighted, as he clicked the pen to close it. He sat up and placed his items on the table- his sketchbook being open. He took a quick sip of his steaming, vanilla coffee. He lightly put the mug down. He took in a deep breath, then let it out. Badgerclops was happy and content.
'Such a calming day!' Badgerclops cheered to himself, as his thought echoed in his brain.
"Hey, Badgerclops,"
a deep, familiar voice called his name from behind. He heard the small footsteps coming closer to the sofa. He looked next to him, his favorite black cat popped up beside the arm of the couch.
"Oh, howdy, Mao!" Badgerclops gleefully greeted, looking down and in his direction.
"Are you going to be making dinner for us? Because Adorabat won't calm down asking me. She's starving an literally driving me insane!" Mao Mao cleared his throat and explained.
"Oh! Uh- sure!" Badgerclops gladly said. He got up from his seat.
"I'll go ahead and get started!" He exclaimed, as he then walked off to the kitchen.
Mao Mao watched him walk off. As he left, he jumped onto the pinkish/ reddish, colored sofa. Mao Mao sighed, looking around the room; he was trying to find something to do.
While Mao Mao's eyes wondered, he looked down at the coffee table in front of him. His eyes met with a little drawing pad, with different colored pens around the book.
'Is this Badgerclops'?' Mao Mao wondered to himself, as he scooped the halfway filled sketch book into his hands.
He looked at the page the pad was left open on. Mao Mao cracked a small smile reading it.
'Wow- He really does care about me, huh?' Mao Mao gladly questioned himself. After he read and looked at the doodle on the most recent page, he decided to flip all the way to the beginning, and check through all of the pages.
When he flipped to the front, the were lose papers, with drawings that weren't his.
'Awe, Adorabat's!' Mao Mao grinned a bit more as he looked down at a few different drawing Badgerclops kept of hers. The cat then skipped to the next page.
'Wait- that's me-' Mao Mao looked at the drawing wide-eyed. It was a doodle of Badgerclops up next to Mao Mao, cuddling him. Mao Mao had his gloves off and Badgerclops had one of his hands around Mao Mao's little paw. He was snuggled up in Badgerclops' side, as the bigger animal had his arm wrapped around Mao Mao's shoulders.
Mao Mao giggled to himself a little bit. He admired the sweet sketch. He started reading the words below it in bright pink ink.

'I love Mao Mao! He is my closest friend, but he means more to me. We've known each other for a bit now.
I wish I had the guts to ask him out. I'm scared he'd reject me though, so I just try my best to hide my feelings.
I've had the biggest crush on him for a while. He's just so cute, looks cuddly, has cute paws, can be strong... He's amazing!'

Mao Mao gave an even bigger smile. He fell in love with his endearing, written words.
'Does he really feel this way? Wow... Maybe I should- say something?' Mao Mao thought to himself. He was quite flattered by the badger's dear paragraph. While he wondered, he decided to flip through a few more pages.
He came across a doodle of the both of them holding hands, one of them eating cake together, another with Badgerclops holding Mao Mao bridal style, then one of them drawing together. Mao Mao had an amused expression. He was loving looking through his crush's sketchbook, especially finding out how the badger feels about him!
"Welp, only about an hour in the oven, and we'll be all good!" The badger's voice came closer to Mao Mao. He panicked with the book in his hand.
'Oh frick... Oh God- where do I put this?' He frantically, in a heartbeat, threw it on the table in front of him. The badger then came up, and walked in front of him.
"Uh- are you okay?" Badgerclops questioned, as he towered over the small cat. He stared into Mao Mao's mischievous eyes, watching Mao Mao's troubled expression.
"Heh, yeah! Never better! Why'd ya think something's wrong, bucko?" Mao Mao apprehensively replied.
"I don't know, man. You're pretty weird." Badgerclops stated as he gently sat down next to the dark kitty.
"Heheh, I guess-" Mao Mao gave a slight nervous giggle. He watched the badger lean back into the sofa.
'This could be my chance to confess! Should I? What do I do? Ask him to marry me? Wait- that's a step too far! Agh-' Mao Mao panicked to himself as he intently stared at his friend. The other animal noticed Mao Mao's behavior and quickly made eye-contact with him.
'Crap, crap, crap-' Mao Mao kept thinking to himself, realizing the awkward tension between the two. He gave an anxious grin, not knowing how to start this conversation.
"Mao? Did you do something? You're acting more strange than usual." Badgerclops asked in suspicion, keeping contact with the cat.
Mao Mao took a deep breath.
"Yes," he began as he sighed,
"I have to confess something important to you, Badgerclops-" Mao Mao stopped himself from speaking, as he looked at the bigger badger's face. He looked at Mao Mao in confusion, and tilted his head a little.
"Well?" The badger wanted Mao Mao to spit it out.
"I-I-I love you." Mao Mao finally admitted as he cracked a little smile for the larger animal.
"You're so sweet, well-mannered, funny, so cute- I love you, Badgerclops!" Mao Mao complimented, as he put his gloved paw on Badgerclops' hand.
Badgerclops looked at Mao Mao, speechless. He didn't know how to respond. He was taken back by the cat's words.
Before Badgerclops could even open his mouth to respond; Mao Mao popped a huge question,
"Will you be my boyfriend, Badgerclops?"
The badger looked down at Mao Mao with a cherry-red, blissful face. His eye widened as his expression beamed with excitement.
"O-of course! I love you so much, Mao Mao!" Badgerclops chimed as he swooped the smaller creature in his big arms. Mao Mao happily blushed, being hugged in his now-boyfriend's arms.
Badgerclops fell back on to the couch with Mao Mao falling on top of him.  The cat smirked at the badger, thankful for the badger being here for him. Mao Mao curled up on the bigger boy's stomach. Mao Mao nuzzled his head into the badger's neck. Badgerclops put his arm around the kitty, rubbing his shoulder. The feline began to purr in happiness from being loved by the man he appreciated most. Badgerclops closed his eyes along with Mao Mao's, as he relaxed and felt the vibrations and hums coming from Mao Mao. The two stayed in the serene silence as they waited on their food, by each other's side.
