     "HYAH!" Mao Mao screamed as he jumped up, and scratched the large creature with his golden katana. Badgerclops stayed back, shooting the beast with big, blue orbs from his robot arm.
"Woo! Look over here, meanie!" Adorabat distracted the creature, flying around its head, throwing smoke bombs left and right. Mao Mao continued trying to cut through the monster.
"Uh, dude! Are you even doing any damage at all?" Badgerclops projected his voice, questioning Mao Mao.
"YEAH, OF COURSE I AM!" Mao Mao yelled back at the badger. He turned around to lock eyes with Badgerclops, but as he did, the humongous creature's tail slammed into the cat's small body.
"OW!-" Mao Mao loudly yelped.
"CRASH!"
His little body hit the ground extremely and painfully hard. He scraped across the grass and rocks, all the way to where Badgerclops was standing.
"Oh. My. God! Mao Mao!" The badger looked down, he panicked a little, seeing the cat in pain.
"OH, THAT'S IT!" Badgerclops screeched out, infuriated. He swiftly made his way to the disgusting being and launched a large missile from his shiny, electronic arm.
"Bye bye, ugly... Monster thing!" Badgerclops sassily exclaimed. He waved as the nasty monster went flying above the trees, landing far away from the valley.
"Oh no, Mao Mao! Are you okay?" Adorabat worriedly asked as she flew down to the others' level. Mao Mao had his body and face nested in the grass. He slowly lifted up his arm, barely forming a thumbs up. Both Adorabat and Badgerclops watched the poor cat struggle. The two animals exchanged troubled looks.
"Welp! Looks like I'ma have to carry ya home, lil' Mao!" Badgerclops mentioned, as he picked up the little cat. He tossed him over his larger shoulder, and pat the dark kitty on the back.
"Huh? I-I can get around just fine by myself-" Mao Mao mumbled in reply. The badger ignored his remark though, wrapping one arm around the small cat, and keeping another arm on the back of the dark kitty's head.
     "That's too bad, because I'm still carrying you!" Badgerclops sassily answered.
     "C'mon, Adorabat! I'll drive the aero-cycle to headquarters!" The badger stated as he carried the cat to his beloved cycle. Badgerclops was surprised Mao Mao didn't attack him for saying he was going to drive the cycle. He looked at the kitten and realized his eyes were shut tight.
     'Thank God! That's why he didn't start throwing a tantrum!' Badgerclops sighed in relief. He boarded the cycle, sitting in front of the wheel. He sat the small cat in his lap, facing his large stomach. The cat's head rested on the badger's furry chest. Adorabat flew over to them in a hurry, sitting herself on Badgerclops's shoulder.

- - - TIME SKIP - - -

     The main three finally made it back to HQ. Adorabat dashed into the wooden house, as her tiny wings flapped rapidly. The badger took his and Mao Mao's helmets off and threw them to the side.
     "Okay, lil' Mao! Time to get ya feelin' better! I hate seeing you fallin' apart." Badgerclops mentioned, waking the cat up. Badgerclops stepped off the aero-cycle, as he cradled Mao Mao in his big arms. They entered the house, as Badgerclops gently sat the fragile animal on the couch.
     "Lemme grab my first-aid kit! That'll definitely help!" Badgerclops beamed, as his robo-arm stretched across the house and into their room. He fiddled around until feeling the kit, and zooming his arm back into the living room. Mao Mao slightly opened his bright eyes, watching the big badger open up the box.
     "Okie dokie!" Badgerclops cheered, successfully opening the case. He took out a few bandages and bandaids, along with rubbing alcohol, and some cotton balls.
     "I'm gonna have to clean these scrapes off with alcohol. It will burn a little, but it'll be okay! Grab onto my arm if you feel stressed." He gave an assuring grin to the cat. Mao Mao flashed a tired smile back, slightly nodding his head.
     The badger plopped down on the other side of the couch. Mao Mao stayed laying back on the opposite side, his head sitting on the arm rest, as his legs rested on the badger's lap. The badger poured a tiny bit of alcohol onto the cuts on Mao Mao's soft arm. The cat grit his teeth in pain.
     "Ngh... Ow, ow-" The cat groaned, holding onto Badgerclops's plump arm. The badger continued to pat the spots with a cotton ball.
     "It'll be okay, kitten. Just keep holding on." Badgerclops stated in a calming voice. The cat nodded a little, still gripping onto the badger.
     The badger finished up helping the kitty, wrapping his arms up with bandages.
     "Bam! All done!" Badgerclops chimed, giving Mao Mao a big, bright grin. The cat returned a small smile.
     The cat still looked to be a bit in stress from all the pain, so Badgerclops conjured up a plan to get his mind off of it.
     "Y'know, kisses help everything!" The badger sweetly mentioned, shooting a look at the kitty.
     "Uh- I didn't know that-" Before the cat could finish up his sentence, Badgerclops cut him off, leaning over him and surprising him with little smooches. Badgerclops placed small kisses on each, covered scrape.
     "Mwah!~ Smooch!~" When he finished pecking each spot, he sat up. The cat was a flustered mess.
     "Feeling any better, kitten?" The badger questioned, still leaning over him.
     "Uh-" Mao Mao stuttered in embarrassment from being so vulnerable towards the badger. Badgerclops noticed this.
     "Hehe, I'm sure this'll help ya!" The badger chucked a bit. Mao Mao looked the badger in his eye, not sure what was coming next...
     "AHAHAHA-" Mao Mao began hysterically laughing, as the badger tickled the small, fluffy cat's sides. The cat's body twitched and rapidly moved around. His face turned as red as a cherry.
     "HAHA, S-STOP, B-BADGERCLOPS-" The cat wheezed out, tears forming in his eyes. The badger giggled as he stopped. His hands moved away from the cat's sides, and rested on the cat's stomach and chest. He played around with the kitty's fur, smiling. Mao Mao sat back smiling as well. He cleared his throat, trying to compose himself, tears from laughter still rolling down his fur-covered face.
     "Th-Thank you, Badgerclops. I'm sure I'll be better in no time, thanks to you of course!" Mao Mao gleefully admitted. It meant a lot to him that the badger cares so much for him. It's quite flattering for him.
     "Of course, dude... Anytime!" Badgerclops beamed with joy, as he stopped leaning on the little cat. Mao Mao sat up and scooted right next to the tall badger. He nuzzled his head in the fur of the badger's arm, as he grabbed his larger hand.
     "Heh, you're so cute, Mao!" Badgerclops mentioned, complimenting the smaller animal. He looked down at him, getting loose of Mao Mao's grip, just to wrap his arm around the feline. The dark kitty's face flushed a bit of red, as the badger contently snuggled with him, being careful and aware not to touch his scratches. Badgerclops softly pet him, stroking the smooth fur on his head. The action put the kitty to sleep, making him purr loudly. He vibrated the couch with his deep purrs. He had his arms wrapped around Badgerclops's chubby stomach, as his head was nuzzled into his bigger side.
     "Hehehe!" The badger giggled, as the shakes from the purring tickled him. Badgerclops happily looked down at Mao Mao's level, watching the kitty peacefully sleep.
     'I'm glad he's okay, I'm also glad I have him here! I'm the luckiest guy on earth to have such a cutie!' The badger pleasantly bragged to himself, smirking. As Badgerclops got sucked deeper into thought and watched the sleepy cat for so long, he finally dozed off as well. His head rested own his own shoulder, right above Mao Mao's. The two stayed there... Peacefully napping together.
