"AH-" Mao Mao screamed as he rushed into the room to get dressed.
He slammed the door shut as it followed with a loud,
"BANG!"
He scrambled around, collectively grabbing his tuxedo, bow tie, and shoes. He began pushing other animals and sweetie pies out of his way in a panic.
"GAH! MOVE IT!" Mao Mao went to the corner of the medium sized room. He ran behind a dark purple curtain to get changed. He swiftly slipped off his other items he had on. Mao Mao threw on his white tuxedo, with his white and black dress shoes, and a black bow tie.
"DOES THIS LOOK GOOD, Y'ALL?" Mao Mao anxiously screamed out for everyone in the room's opinion, as he dashed out from the left corner, to the other side of the room to look in the mirrors. The mirrors circled around in front of him. There was only one little opening area, where he entered, to step on the wooden pedestal.
Awes came from the sweetie pies and a few others as they looked at Mao Mao.
"Pft- what am I talking about? Of course I look good~" Mao Mao confidently bragged to himself, as he winked in the mirror and snapped his fingers.
"Hey, sheriff! We need to fix your fur up a bit! Please come sit in this chair!" One of the little sweetie pies instructed the black cat to come in their direction.
"Of course!" Mao Mao chimed, taking a break from flexing the little muscles he had in his reflection. He hopped off the platform and landed on the hard, concrete flooring. Mao Mao ran over to the chair and sat on back. He looked at himself in the larger mirror of the vanity in front of him. He practiced a few smiling techniques to himself, while the villager worked on straightening his midnight-black fur.

While Mao Mao was still getting ready, Badgerclops was all done getting dressed in his dressing room. He had on his light grey tuxedo, followed by a black bow tie. He had his fur combed and teeth brushed. He happily looked at himself in the mirror.
"Looking good!" A sweetie pie complimented Badgerclops from across the room. The others looked in his direction and gave bright grins. These gestures made Badgerclops give a small grin to himself
'Hm... Maybe I really DO look pretty good, hehehe-' He thought as he giggled.

Back in Mao Mao's changing room,  the sweetie pies had just finished combing his fur.
"All done!" The sweetie pies exclaimed, backing up to give Mao Mao some space.
"Heheh, looking good!" Mao Mao pridefully told himself.
A small, feline-looking, pastel, mint green sweetie pie swung the dressing room door open.
"Mao Mao! The ceremony is about to begin! We need you down at the arch!" The little one frantically called out with sweat running down her face. Mao Mao's face went from shining pride, to obvious fear. He didn't know what to say as he slowly got up from the cushioned chair he was sitting. He was completely frozen.
"Hurry up! Badgerclops is ready to be walked!" The sweetie pie yelled as she ran off in the direction of the event.
     'You got this-'
Mao Mao did his best to calm himself down as he took a few deep breaths. He fully composed his self. Mao Mao grabbed his black, matching gloves to cover up, then dashed out of the room and down the long, narrow hallway. When he got to the end, he caught up with the light green sweetie pie.
"Okie dokie! Ya ready, Sheriff Mao?" She looked up and gleefully asked him.
Mao Mao looked down at the little citizen, then back up and through the door's little window. He watched everyone taking their seats from a far.
     "Yes," Mao Mao anxiously sighed.
They turned the knob on the olden, wooden door. She motioned Mao Mao to walk on down the aisle as he stepped off the small set of stairs. The black cat's eyes followed the white aisle-rug's path. He gave a deep breath. The cat began to walk, stepping onto the soft material, placed over the hard concrete sidewalk. His shoes clicked with each step he took.
"Click, click," You could hear the faint ticking from across the way. Everyone got silent as he got closer to them and the arc. The crowd's eyes darted in his direction. They followed his every movement. Everyone stared him down, making the tension feel even worse for him. Mao Mao finally made his way up to the podium and nervously smiled at the mob of attendees. Others smiled back at him, then continued to talk.
