"Are you ready lay?" I heard Jayce shout from the living room. "Yeah I'm coming" I replied rolling my eyes. Jayce was always rushing somebody. School started at 8:30 it was only 8:10. He was always so anxious to get to school. Unlike me the only reason I liked school was for lunch and track. I looked in the mirror one last time before heading out the bathroom. "You look good!" Jayce exclaimed as I exited the bathroom. I had on a white uniform shirt with kahki pants and my all white air force ones. My hair was straight in a wrap. I put on a little eyeliner and mascara to accentuate my eyes. "Thanks" I replied we walked outside and got into my black Honda accord. I started the car and turned on the music. The ride to school was quiet besides the music playing. Once we arrived to school we met up with the rest of our crew. While walking to class I realized I left my badge at home so I needed a temporary. I walked to the front office and went to get one. As soon as I walked in I saw the most fine boy ever. He looked at me and I smiled. "Hey I'm Montrece but I go by trece" He said. I'm Alaya but everyone call me lay. I said. "Nice name"he said while smiling.
Montrece was tall with coal black wavy hair. He had big dreamy Grey eyes. His complexion was milk chocolate. He had the prettiest smile I'd ever seen, and he smelled of fabric softener and Gucci cologne. After seeing him I kind of forgot what I had went to the office for until I heard the attendance lady call my name for me to get my badge. I got it and I heard Montrece ask what class I was going to. "Government" I replied. Me too what teacher? He asked. Ms.King. I said. Foreal? Me too. From there we decided to walk to class together. We walked into class and everyone just stared. I walked to my assigned seat and Trece took the empty one behind me. The bell rang and class began. I was so bored I almost fell asleep until I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around and Trece passed me a note. "Don't fall asleep lol" the not read. I wrote back and we passed notes back and forth until class was over. Who knew how fast time would go. Getting up to leave Trece asked for my number. I was surprised. Not that I was ugly or anything cause surely I wasn't. I stood 4'11 caramel complexion. Long dark brown hair. Skinny but thick in all the right places and had dimples with a pearly white smile. I gave him my number and he said he would text me.
