I walk Tyson and Alex over to a basketball hoop. "Tyson what's your worst fear?" I question him. "Probably fire or lava, anything really hot," Tyson responds. "Alex make Tyson see that the floor is lava, and Tyson I want you to get on top of the basketball hoop," I insist.

Alex nods at me. Alex looks at Tyson and next at the ground. Out of nowhere Tyson starts breathing really hard and shaky. "Tyson jump and it'll be gone," I remind. Tyson leaps onto the basketball hoop, he calms down.

"Very good. Now I want you guys to show me what you can do, fight each other using your recs," I command. I back out of the key of the basketball court. Tyson and Alex stand in the key together. "Go" I say.

Alex puts her hands out in front of her and pushes Tyson back with her telekinesis. Tyson leaps into the air and lands on his knees behind Alex. Tyson starts breathing heavy. "It's too hot," Tyson screams. Alex picks Tyson up into the air with her Telekinesis and flings him over to me.

"Okay that's all I need to thank you," I state. I look at Alex. "Tyson please go join Lilith and Harrison's group," I insist. "Yes ma'am," Tyson responds as he walks across the gym and joins them.

"What about me?" Alex asks. I look at her. "You are going to train with me, I would like you to come fight alongside me and my friends in Alaska," I state. Alex stares at me in shock. "It's totally up to you whether you come or not, you don't have to," I added. "I want to come," Alex states. "Okay but it won't be easy or fun," I warn "Nothing is ever easy, but we need to end this war," Alex remarks.

I like Alex, She's a good kid. "How old are you Alex?" I question her. "I just turned twelve two days ago," Alex informs. Now I'm not sure if I want to let her go with us. "Why are you so mature?" I ask. "I had seven younger siblings and have been taking care of them most of my life," Alex mutters. "What do you mean you had younger siblings?" I question. I think I know what she means, I think the Tringers killed them.

"We all went into foster care seven months ago. I ran away three months ago, my foster dad had beaten me, " Alex mumbles. "I promise to help reunite all of you once this is over," I remark. I put my hand on her shoulder. "It'll be okay," I added. Alex pulls away from me.

Kacey walks over to us. "Do you guys need any help training, do you need a break Squirt?" Kacey questions me. I might have lost my leg, and am still in pain, but I have to train. I have to protect my friends. "I'm fine," I respond.

"Alex is coming with us to Alaska," I state to Kacey. "She's just a kid," Kacey argues. "I'm smart, I could be useful," Alex informs. "I promise to protect her, but we could really use her help. She picked up Tyson with her telekinesis, she's strong," I state.

"Whatever you say Squirt," Kacey reluctantly agrees. Kacey walks back over to the punching bags and begins to train once again.

"If you're going to survive the battles, you need to be fast," I report. "Trust me I am fast," Alex assures. "We are going to race you," I state. Alex gives me a confused look. "Are we really racing?" Alex questions me. I start to walk to the closest part of the track, that wraps around the gym. Alex just stands there, I think she thought I was joking. "Come on now," I insist. Alex follows me to the track.

Rylee and Grayson come to watch from the sideline. "Grayson count us down, we'll go on one," I insist. Grayson counts down from three and the race begins. I let Alex be in the lead for a while. I catch up to Alex, and then run past her as we round the last corner to get to where we began. I won the race.

Alex runs up behind me as I glance over at Rylee and Grayson. They were joined while we ran by Cannon, Kacey, and Julles. "How did you do that with one leg?" Cannon questions me. I look down at my leg and back at Cannon.

"Everyone listen up for a minute," I command. Everyone in the gym gets quiet and gathers around me to listen. "As you can see, I'm an amputee. If you were watching the race that I just had against Alex, then you know I am still fast. That's because I can make my body lighter with my levitation and I keep myself from falling with my telekinesis. We have been given the ability to make our weaknesses into our strengths," I remark.

Everyone just looks at me. "Cannon what's your weakness?" I question. "I was always late for everything because I had to walk," Cannon states. "That's why you have teleportation," I speak. "You all have been given your Recs for a reason, I want you to figure out that reason," I insist. Everyone says nothing but most of them nod.

"Grayson, Rylee, Kacey, Cannon, Brynn, and Alex, come with me. Everyone else train for another hour. Dinner is at five," I state. My friends and I walk out of the gym and down to the small conference room.
