Just want to say that in this chapter, there will be some domestic violence between Mike and his parents, I want to say that I am making all of this up because I know that Vic and Mike are quite close to their parents but to add to the drama, that's whats gonna happen :)

Tony's POV

--------------------------------------------------

"Give me your phone," a breathless Jaime demanded as he burst through my door, "what? why?" I asked, suddenly cautious "trust me Tone, just give me the phone!" he said walking closer, I sighed knowing that getting the answer out of Jaime was going to be impossible, I didn't have anything to hide so I handed over my phone after putting in my password. He grinned at me then sped off back down the stairs. I shook my head, not knowing where he got his endless energy from. I heard some talking then a car engine. I'm guessing that Mike had left now. I rolled over in bed wondering what him leave so suddenly and was he crying before he left? I would have to ask him tomorrow. I was so glad that he hadn't brought up yesterday and what he saw, to be honest though I had been avoiding him all day up until those fuckers found me by my locker so we hadn't had a chance to talk. I heard Jaime stumble up the stairs, so I turned over and faced the door. "I have to go now," he said leaning over and giving me a hug again after giving me my phone back, I liked the fact that he knew I was gay but didn't keep his distance or shy away every time I went to give him a high five or something. "by the way," he said turning dramatically as he reached the door "you're welcome," he said giving me a wink before leaving. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked down at my phone. what did he mean? I unlocked my phone and went through everything, my facebook, twitter, tumblr but nothing out of the ordinary came up except a friend request from Mike which I quickly accepted. I went to call Jaime when I saw it Mike displayed on my phone being the last contact open. I stared at my phone in disbelief for what seemed about twenty minutes before I let out the breathe I didn't realize that I had been holding, I called Jaime "are you serious?" I said cutting him off before he could greet me "what's up amigo?" he said pretending like he hadn't heard me "what's this on my phone? is this real?" I asked, doubt clear in my voice "ce, think of it as my little present to you turtle, oh and he's waiting for a text so you better hurry up," he said before hanging up, I could almost hear the smirk in his voice. I chuckled and thanked the good lord himself for friends like Jaime.

It had been half an hour now and I had been staring blankly at my phone screen the whole time, not having any idea of what to type. It was about eight now any later and he probably won't reply "It's now or never," I told myself, as I unlocked my phone for what seemed like the 50th time that evening. I typed with shaky hands and baited breath "Hey Mike, it's Tony, sorry about Jaime harassing you, I had no idea that he was doing that :)" I sent it before I could change my mind. Instead of waiting around and staring at my phone, I went downstairs and got a glass of water as I was hungry but I didn't want to eat anything. I took my time drinking it, trying to calm my nerves and stop my hands from shaking. I know that it is stupid to get so worked up over a text but I have never actually text anyone apart from Jaime, or my aunt or uncle before, actually I had never had a proper conversation with anyone apart from them, which was really sad to think about. To lift my mood I went back upstairs and grabbed a random Star Wars movie from my collection and put it in the DVD player. As soon as I sat on my bed I felt my phone buzz from somewhere on my bed. I wrestled with my covers to find it and when I did, I let out a little squeak of happiness, he had replied! Hey Tony! Sorry I took so long to reply, I'm not allowed my phone at the dinner table and don't worry Spike didn't harass me. Much :) what you up to? I read the text over and over again, letting my smile get bigger, it was a proper text from the guy I liked, he could have just said hey or hi but he actually initiated the conversation. Wait, Spike? I quickly text him back Spike?! and I am watching Star Wars. How about you? I put my phone down and let myself get absorbed into the fantasy world playing on my telly. I had only watched about five minutes of it before I felt my phone buzz yeah, before I knew Jaime's name I called him Spike and I am going to keep it that way :P If you're allowed can we meet up, I really want to get out of the house right now, :) I replied, turned my TV off, slipped my shoes on, grabbed my jacket, and made my way out the door.

Mike's POV

Sure, is the local park ok, in like twenty minutes? I replied yes and quietly made my way out of the house. I wiped the remaining tears out of my eyes as I pulled my jacket sleeves over the hand marks. As soon as I got home, he had started on me, yelling and pinning me up by my neck, holding my arms behind my back so I couldn't fight against him, I could smell the alcohol on his breathe as he snarled in my face. I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts. I would be seeing Tony soon and that's all that mattered. I couldn't believe that he text me, I never actually thought that he would even though Spike said he would, there was still that nagging thought in the back of my head that Tony doesn't actually like me and didn't want to text but I had been proved wrong. I turned the corner to the park and saw Tony sitting next to the fountain that was lit up. The park really was beautiful at this time of night. The fountain was surrounded by trees and various paths leading off in different directions. In my old neighbourhood, this would have been destroyed within days. I stopped and took in the sight of the boy and few meters away. The lights from the water feature gleamed in his wide eyes, and reflected off his dermal piercing. He was playing with the water, letting it run through his fingers. I stood there for a few more minutes before he saw me and timidly waved me over. I smiled back and started to walk to him. "You alright?" I he asked as I sat down, I silently nodded, putting my hands in my pocket "You sure?" he asked, concern layering his quiet voice, once again I just silently nodded, "hey, I thought I was meant to be the silent one?" he said nudging me, the gesture earned a small laugh in return, he grinned in triumph, "that's better, so how come you wanted to meet up and nearly nine o'clock on a school night Mr Fuentes?" he asked, playfully, I shivered when he said my last name, he made even the simplest of words sound pretty. It was official , I was falling for Tony Perry.

Tony's POV

I was shocked with myself, I honestly didn't know how I was being so forward, it wasn't like me at all, I was usually the one that was answering the question not outright asking them. "erm, well I just wanted to get to know you better, I guess," he said, quietly again, something was not right with this boy and it was eating him up inside. "ok, ask away, I will answer any question you ask me, but if I say pass, then please don't push it, cool?" I asked timidly, His face lit up with a smile and I felt myself grinning back. "ok then, favorite colour?" he asked "ohhh, slow down with the serious questions there, let me think," I said teasingly "black and green," I answered confidently "you?" he seemed to think for a while "blue probably," I nodded "next question,".

This went on for about half an hour and I found out loads about Mike, his favorite colour was blue, he loved monkey's, Harry Potter, The Nightmare Before Christmas and he has been playing drums since 9th grade. He found out my favorite colours, my obsession with turtles and Star Wars and that I have been playing guitar since I was fifteen. I had enjoyed this chat but I was freezing my ass off here. "do you want to grab a coffee because I am freezing!" Mike exclaimed breathing into his cupped hands then rubbing them together. I nodded, suddenly feeling shy again. We stood up and started walking to the closest place open at nearly half nine at night. We found a place and just got two black coffee's, "my treat," I said quickly paying while Mike got his wallet out. He smiled gratefully as he picked up his cup. "Let me walk you to yours?" I asked shyly. "sure," he replied with a smile, we walked in a comfortable silence for a few blocks before Mike spoke up, "thank you, for coming out tonight Tony and not pushing me to tell you stuff," I nearly choked on my coffee, I was not expecting that "it's fine, I know what it's like, don't worry about it," I said trying to brush it off as I knew this topic would bring up some awkward questions. "look Tony, about the other night I ju-" I cut him off "please, just forget about it, it isn't anything to worry about, ok? let's just pretend that you did not see anything, ok?" I said, trying to make my point, "but Tony, I want you to kno-" I cut him off again "Mike, please, let's not do this, the things you saw the other night, even Jaime doesn't know about and I want to keep it that way, please?" I almost begged him, I could feel the tears forming in my eyes "ok, Tony, we all have our demons and when you're ready to share yours, I will always be here to listen, ok?" He said, stopping us and turning me to face him "thank you," I said, a small smile pulling at the corners of my mouth, he pulled me into a hug and, as he is a few inches taller than me, he rested his head on my shoulder. I inhaled his scent, he smelled like safety and warmth, I snaked my arms around his waist and buried my head into his chest. It was there and then, that I decided I had officially fallen for Mike Fuentes.
