"Loki." I knocked on his door. "You awake?"
The door opened, revealing Loki who looked horrible. His hair was a mess and it looked like he hadn't slept at all.
Without a word, he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close to his chest.
I sighed and pushed him into his room, shutting the door behind me.
"Did you even sleep?" I asked.
He shook his head before moving to sit on his bed. I sat beside him.
"How could you tell?" He mumbled, leaning against me.
"I'm the queen of sleep deprivation, I think I can recognize the signs of someone not sleeping."
Loki turned my head so I faced him. He kissed my forehead and hugged me again. His grip was tighter this time, and small sobs left his lips.
"What's wrong?" I ran my fingers through his hair.
The only response I got was a whimper. I sighed and wrapped my arms around him, letting him cry.
I pulled away from him, much to his displeasure. I walked to where he had laid out a set of clothes for today.
I picked up the shirt and walked back over to him. "Come on, you have to get ready."
When he didn't respond, I sighed and grabbed the hem of his shirt and pulled it up over his head.
"I swear to the gods Loki." I mumbled to myself as I shook the new shirt out. "I know that you don't want to go through this but-" I cut off when my hand brushed his shoulder. Not because I touched him, but because of what happened when I touched him.
"No! Let me out!" Loki banged on a door before falling to the ground defeated.
Sweat drenched his clothes, but he wasn't sweating anymore. He laid on the ground panting.
"Loki?"
Loki's hand snatched my wrist and he glared up at me. "What did you do?"
I blinked a few times before shaking my head. "What just happened?"
He released my wrist and looked at the floor. "It's nothing."
"Loki, it's clearly something if you don't want to say what it is." I sat the shirt aside. "I mean I'm not going to force you to talk about it. I just want to know what just happened. Were those your memories or something?"
He sighed and nodded. "I am afraid that when I fell from the Bïfrost, I was found by an entity who is quite likely insane. Unfortunately for me, he knew exactly how much the heat affects me...and how to utilize the staff. You have no idea what it's like to not have control of your own body."
"Actually I do...but that was a long time ago." I shook my head. "Why don't you tell them this?"
"Because I'm not Odin's son. He won't believe me. If I were Thor perhaps..." he swallowed. "Perhaps then he might believe me."
"Then tell Thor. Tell Frigga. Tell somebody that will give you the slightest chance at Odin believing you. I don't want to lose you."
A brief smile crossed his face and he kissed me. He pulled on his shirt and walked over to the rest of his outfit.
"Are you going to leave or stay in here while I change?"
"Not at that point of the relationship yet." I rolled my eyes and opened the door, only for Thor to hit me in the face.
"Ow!" I held my hands to my face. "Do you always try to murder your guests?!"
"Lady Percy are you okay?! I did not hurt you, did I?" Thor asked.
Loki rushed over to me and pulled my hands away from my face. My eyes were watering as I stared up at him as blood flowed from my nose.
His eyes widened and he pushed me back to the bed.
"For once can you not break something I like?" Loki glared at Thor, before turning back to me and gingerly touching my face.
Thor didn't respond, instead watching Loki as he mumbled softly. A glow encased Loki's hands and I could feel my bones shift back into place like they do if I heal myself.
"There, is that better?" He asked.
"I would have been fine, Loki. Not the first time I've taken a punch to the face. And also, don't talk about me like I'm an object."
He rolled his eyes. "If I said someone it would sound like Thor enjoys killing people if I enjoy their company. As much as he is good for nothing barbarian, he has not yet stooped to that level."
I laughed and stood up. "I guess that makes sense. Thanks Loki. I'm going to go see if I can find anyone to train with. Not everyday you get to hang out with a bunch of highly trained swordfighters, am I right? Oh and uh...before I go...Thor, next time you knock don't try to murder me. And Loki tell him."
I walked past Thor before either could respond, shoving him in and pulling the door closed.
I hummed softly as I held the door shut, bracing myself against the wall so I could put my entire weight into holding the door.
After a minute I rolled my eyes and used some water to hold the door shut instead.
I pressed my ear to the wood and strained to hear what was happening on the other side.
Which was a whole lot of arguing about doing something called Get Help or something.
But then...
"What did she want you to tell me?"
Wellllllll
