My eyes flutter open. I see Jonas's beautiful sleeping form next to me. I'm so tempted to just stay here and never get up, but I still figure Morris didn't call anybody. I wriggle out of his arms carefully, trying to not wake him up. A blush rises to my face when I remember last nights events. I quickly get dressed for the day, and inch closer to the bed. I kiss Jonas, making him wake up. "Well, what a great way to wake up." He remarks. I giggle at him. "You need to get dressed." My eyes linger on his form as he gets out of the bed, and get dressed in the clothes from the day before. "We'll stop at your room to get fresh clothes." I decide. He nods his acknowledgement. I stand, kiss his nose, and head to the door. "Coming?"

"Let me guess, Morris never called anyone?" Jonas asks Mac angrily. "Nope. No one knows that things out there. Not the Chinese. Not the Australians. No one." Mac replies in frustration. "What the hell was he thinking?" Jax asks. "He wanted this to go as quietly as possible. That son of a bitch." I shout. "Mac-" "Call everyone. I got it." Mac replies before Jonas can finish. "Oh, and everyone could hear you two last night." Mac whispers before leaving. A blush rises to my face. I shrug and smile sheepishly at Jonas. Since we figure Morris out a tracker on the shark, Jax hacks into is database illegally to find it. We don't talk about the illegal part. "It's headed to one of the most populated beaches." Jax reports. "It's too close to people." I decide. "Yeah, well how do we going to get it over here," Mac points at a map, "when there's a beach full of people to eat here?" Suyin holds up a sound recorder, playing whale songs. "You ask it out for dinner." "Perfect. Now how to kill it." We plan on using torpedo rockets to fire at it with the gliders. We can't use the first method, since we don't have a large enough amount of the poison. Mac comes back. "Notify everyone?" Jonas ask him. "No. Giant shark sounds like a damn prank call." I roll my eyes. That's what I said.

"How many gliders? Who's going to control the gliders? Do you think the rockets will kill it?" Are all questions I ask. "Two gliders, so they can go back and forth. Undecided. And it can't survive explosions caused by the rockets in the gills and mouth." Suyin replies. I bite my lip. I think about all the things that could go wrong. There could be another one. It could eat us. It could eat Jonas. Jonas comes up to me, cupping my face. "We can do this. You can do this. That prehistoric fish is going to see its last day." I nod into his hand, feeling slightly better. "So, Suyin, what if Jonas and I handle this. You stay with Meiying." She gives me a hard look, which I return, before sighing and giving in.  "Fine. I'll let you two handle it." I find Meiying playing with some toys. "Hey what's going on?" I ask her. "Just playing." She replies. "Oh? I thought maybe you were listening because 8 year olds hear everything." She giggles a bit, and I wink. "I'm keeping me promise, okay. Your mom will stay with you. So you need to promise to stay safe." She nods, and I hold up my hand for a fist bump which she returns.

Jonas and I gear up in our wetsuits. "Jonas, you gotta promise to not do something stupid." I tell him. "Only if you do the same." I laugh a little, and hold out my pinky. Of course, I'm crossing my fingers on my other hand behind my back. He smiles, which still rules up the butterflies in my stomach, and interlocks his pinky with mine. I laugh at our childishness. He pulls me into a hug. "I can't lose you. Don't do something that kills you." He whispers. No promises. I nod, and pull away. I kiss him one more time before going to stop into the glider. Here goes nothing. They release the whale noises and the gliders. I see it in the distance. "It's coming Jonas." I speak into the intercom. "Ready?" "As I'll ever be." The meg gets close enough, the drive in opposite directions. It chases me with its mouth wide open, so I aim for the gills. After a few shots, Jonas shoots at it to get its attention. The meg speeds in Jonas's direction.

After some time passes of this, I hear commotion over the intercom. Everyone is forced into the water as the boat is lit on fire.  I hear them shouting for each other over the intercom. Jonas fires his last rocket, so I take over. "Jonas, go help everyone. I still have rockets. I'll take care of fishy over here." I tell him whilst driving away from the boat. "(Y/N), don't be dumb." He says before surfacing. Once we are a decent distance from the boat I turn the glider. I aim, but it doesn't shoot. Fuck it's jammed. I dodge it's mouth. I think of all the people who needs to be save. DJ, Lori, Jax, Mac, Suyin, Meiying, Jonas. An idea pops into my head. It's quite the shark eat shark world. I need it to bleed. "You know, Suyin was right. It's not about the people you lose. It's about the people you save. I'm sorry. Signing off." I hear a short protest before I turn off the intercom.

Jonas P.O.V.

What the hell is she thinking. "(Y/N), no! What are you doing?" I shout into the intercom. Everyone looks alarmed by my raised voice. I see a boat in the distance. "I'm taking you guys to that boat. Then I'm going back for (Y/N)." They don't ask questions as I speed towards the boat.

(Y/N) P.O.V.

I wait in place as the meg rushes me. When it's close enough, I turn the glider on it's side, and use the sharp end to cut into the shark. I move the glider through the water, making the cut longer. "That's right you motherfucker. Bleed." The meg bleeds profusely, but still isn't dead. It rams its head into the glider, and it lands in a reef of coral, rendering the glider unmovable. I'm forced to leave the glider, but first I take a mask and harpoon I had in the glider just in case. I knew I would be doing something stupid. I somehow manage to dodge the shark as I comes at me. I stab the harpoon into its dorsal fin. It jumps out of the water, where I take the chance to stab the harpoon through its eye. Having lost my grip on this thing, I fall through the air and back into the water. The shark falls after me, dead in the water. The landing on the water was pretty hard. I'm disoriented, but don't fail to notice the large amount of sharks heading to the meg, and not a larger one in sight. It's over.

The adrenaline has run out. Im so tired. That fall still hurt me, but I try to surface. With the sudden vibration, a hammerhead shark heads towards me. I'm not getting killed by a tiny bitch after killing that thing. I attempt to swim away, and receive help when Jonas comes up with the glider. He bumps the shark away, and it heads back to the meg. I grab on to the glider, and he raise the glider. My energy has run thin, so I lay lazily across the wing of the glider. "I'm sorry I suck at promises. But in my defense, I crossed my fingers." I smile even though he scowls. He drives the glider to an apparent wedding boat. The woman is crying about something, and the others are sitting with blankets wrapped around them. They brighten at the sight of my form. Jonas pulls himself and me onto the boat. "You're really stupid sometimes." He says.

"Watch your mouth mister. Plus I remember you telling me that I'm not an idiot." I remind him. Suddenly a small Yorkie swims up to the boat, which cause the crying bride to become extremely happy. Jonas and I sit next to Suyin and Meiying. "I need a vacation." Jonas decides. I smile. "Sounds nice." I reply. "Told you." Meiying tells Jonas. I look at her confused. "I told Mr. crazy that you like him too." I laugh. "Well then yeah. You were right." She smiles. I sigh content, yet tired. I snuggle into Jonas's side, and let sleep find me.
