Chapter Ten

Rain Beats

Sooth the thirsty throat,
Of our sucking dreams.
Come with your watery keys,
Unlock imprisoned hopes.
About to wither,
In the dungeon of our souls.

***

Come rain, come lift me with your wings,
Into the night of fancy.
Spent on comforting bosom,
Of the one with dimpled cheeks.
