Chapter Twenty: Prom? (edited)

Conner's P.O.V

Its been one month since I kissed Gabriella at the carnival. Its like she has been avoiding me recently. But I wanted to ask her to prom. So, the group helped me set up my plan.

"I really hope she says yes you guys." I told Kory, and Alexa. They continued putting rose petals.

"If she doesn't I will." Alexa said.

"Well good thing I asked you first then." Kory said smiling.

"Is something going on between you two? Yawl have been hanging around each other a lot lately...alone." I asked them.

They both blushed and just continued putting the rose petals on the pathway. I asked Diya to record her while she walks, and the group will be at the end to see her answer. I knew if it had been the whole school then she would be really overwhelmed.

"Okay I think that's it. Do you have the signs?" I asked Fallen as she walked up. She nodded her head.

"Yep, what youre doing just might be the cutest thing ever." she said in a sing song voice.

"Okay lets get into place." They nodded their heads.

Gabriella's P.O.V

"Hey Gabriella!" Diya yelled coming my way as I opened my locker.

Hey, what's up? She shook her head.

"Nothing. Just going to stand here." She took out a camera as I opened my locker the rest of the way and a folded note fall out and onto the ground. And I pulled out the sunflower from my locker.

What is this? I picked up the note and opened it up.

It had the letter o on it. O? I turned towards her and she shrugged. I turned the note over, and it said, To find the next clue to this trivia go to the one place where we first met. - C

The parking lots. I started walking and Diya followed me. I walked through the front doors and on the stone pillar there was another note taped. As well as a sunflower laying on the ground. I pulled the note off and opened it.

M... I turned it over. Great job! Your almost through. Roses are red, Violets are blue, your beautiful and I know it too. One place you offered to lend a hand. - C

Isabella. I walked to the cafeteria, and to the table in the far corner. There was another sunflower with a note. P.

I turned it over once more. Great job, your destination is at the one place you go to every day. Whether you choose to or not. There is where this will end, and you will win... -C

Homeroom. I walked and I saw rose petals, I followed the path and opened the door. The rose petals stopped, and I looked up.

Conner was holding the letter r. And a dozen roses. He walked to me and I didn't move it was like I was frozen. He grabbed the notes and flowers and set them all on the desk. "Gabriella McCann, youre as bright as the sun. So, will you make 'us' brighter and be my sunshine at prom?" I was frozen I couldn't do anything.

It took me a few minutes to register what he said, but I nodded. Yes. He smiled and picked me up and twirled me. I smiled at him and everyone was cheering.

After school Conner and I just watched Netflix and ate pizza. It was amazing. "You know Lunar. You are the most honest and generous person I have literally ever met. I don't think I know anyone that would have did what you did for Isabella. Or anyone for that matter." I smiled at him grabbing another pizza slice.

I guess, but sometimes I wish I would talk. Like I could find my voice. Because when my friends need me most, I can't always do everything to help them... I looked down.

"Hey, its okay, you could be one of those friends that doesn't do anything at all. Plus, I am pretty sure they get it. They are your friends and would do anything for you just as much as you would for them."

Thank you. He smiled at me lifting my chin.

"Anything to make you smile Lunar." I hugged him and laid on his shoulder. We continued watching movies for the rest of the night until we fell asleep into a deep slumber.

"Hey, Gabriella wake up. Gabriella, get up." I open my eyes slowly and see mom standing over me.

"Hey sweetie how about you two lay down on the mattress I set up." I nodded.

I patted Conner and he opened his eyes slowly. Hey, lets move to the mattress. He nodded his head and we got up and laid on the mattress. he held me into his chest, so I was warmer.

"Good night Lunar." and we drifted back off into a sleep.

(Just a little side note: I came up with this ON MY OWN. I guess its something I would want done for me lol..)
