Lizzys POV
After a long long day of zero progress, we deside to lean on a tree by the road. "how far do you thing we have walked?" asks ryan. "I don't know. Maybe 4, 5 miles." Kiddy's is on my lap. Cuddling me to keep warm. She is probably hungry by now. I'm starving. "We should eat" I say.
He pulls his backpack from under his head, where he used it as a pillow.
We gave kiddy some meow mix and we had a muffin.
Ryan lays down and I rest my head on his stomach. We drift off to sleep.

I wake to the sound of a car screeching to a stop. The windows are dim. I elbow Ryan. He wakes up. The window rolls down.
