Waverly had decided to stay at the office for the rest of the day to make sure Nicole was ok and to support her. She was sat at the front desk while Nicole was in her office working on a case. She was getting a little bored so decided to twirl around on her chair, Nedley had most probably seen her do this but left her as she seemed to be enjoying herself. Waverly was still spinning when the door to the police station opened and the girls she saw earlier walked through the door. "Fancy seeing you two here? Whatcha need?" She asked them, she'd almost put the pieces together that they were the ones looking for her love but she didn't want to worry Nicole if it wasn't true.
"You work here?" Willow asked, confused why she was at the police station when earlier she was at the bar.
"Well I'm not police if that's what you're asking, I'm Waverly by the way." Waverly gave her best smile and tried to be friendly.
"We were just gonna check here if someone had handed in the photo, it's kind of an important one, you know what I mean?" Willow said smiling back at the girl.
Waverly rummaged through her pocket for the picture Nicole had shown her. "Do you mean this one?" She showed it to them and flattened it out on the desk. "Yeah it was handed in, well I'm glad it's found it's home, someone else recognised it but they weren't sure so I just kept it in my pocket."
"That's it! Thanks so much." Tara went to take the photo but was stopped by Waverly pulling the photograph back behind the desk. "Wait what?"
"Let me ask a few questions first. One, why now do you come to look for her? Two, why didn't you come before? And three, do you seriously think she's going to take this well?" Waverly asked trying to protect her fiancée. "Ooh and four, who even are you to her?"
Tara was taken aback by the questions but thought that finding her sister would be worth it so answered her questions. "Ok s-so I only found the picture about two years ago a-and that's what made me remember about her, and it t-took me a while to find out where s-she is now. And I wasn't expecting her to take it well a-at first at least, and to answer your last question," Tara breathed, "I think I'm her sister." She nervously played with her hands.
"Ok then, maybe I know where she is," it took all of Waverly's willpower not to just turn around and look at Nicole but managed to resist the temptation.
"Really? You mean you know where she is?" Willow inquired.
"You might kinda say that, yeah." Waverly countered. 'Come on Waverly don't give in now' she thought to herself.
"Could you maybe well you know tell us where she is?" Tara asked.
Waverly paused she didn't know what to do. In some ways she wanted to protect her fiancée from getting more upset but she knew that meeting a long lost relative could be rewarding. Just as she was about to answer she heard the door to Nicole's office open and her fiancée walk out looking down at some files.
"Ok so Waves I'm off in five minutes so I was thinking how about you go get-" Nicole looked up from her files and blushed as she realised she almost said something not so PG in front of strangers. "Waverly are you ok dealing with this?" She asked, wanting to hide from the embarrassment of what she was going to say, especially since she was in uniform.
"Yeah of course you go back to work deputy," Waverly replied trying to shoo Nicole back into her office so the people wouldn't recognise her in that short space of time. Nicole was slightly confused but believed that Waverly could handle this, though she was confused at why she called her deputy but shrugged it off thinking she was trying to look professional so she retreated back to her office. She checked her watch and thought that it would be the perfect opportunity to get rid of Nicole's possible relatives as it was almost closing time. "Oh I'm so sorry guys I'm going to have to ask you to leave, it's closing time now. Well if you need anything more discovering I'll be around town." She handed them the photograph, "Good luck!"
Tara took it and put it straight in her bag. "Thanks for keeping it and everything, see you around I guess." With that they left the station.
Waverly let out the breath she didn't even realise she was holding and went into Nicole's office. "Sweetie pie you almost done?"
"Almost, I've just got to do some paperwork." She replied
"I'm paperwork!" Waverly blurted out then burst into giggles.
"Oh god Waverly!" Nicole giggled. "But I mean since you are paperwork and I have to do it I guess I'll have to do you too." She smirked and got up from her chair and moved towards Waverly.
"Well it would be rude not to," Waverly bit her lip and looked up at Nicole and straight into her eyes. Nicole saw the look in Waverly's eyes, picked her up and carried her to the couch.
"This couch again babe?" Waverly asked kissing Nicole.
"Always this couch." Nicole teased kissing back.
