House Unity At Its Finest

Chapter 7

It had been over half an hour since Harry left and the other two had come back. And since Hermione told me that he had gone to die.

"What?! Why is he going to die!" I exclaimed.

"Because he's a Horcrux," Hermione replied.

"So Harry has to die for the Horcrux to be destroyed?" I asked.

The two of them nodded and walked off.

I couldn't believe it. Harry had to die just so Voldemort could die. I walked out of the great hall with Thalia and Nico and the three of us just walked around. We didn't know what to do now. We don't have a prophecy to go off on. We were just told that we needed to help with the war. Which we had. So now all we were supposed to do was sit here and wait for them to come back?

As we were walking through the front of the school Nico stopped and looked around.

"What's up, Nico?" I asked.

"They're coming back," he replied before running inside.

I looked out and saw Hagrid carrying something in his arms. Thalia was the one to realize what it was.

"Oh, my gods...Hagrid is holding Harry..." she whispered.

As she said that I could hear everyone rushing out of the school. I could hear gasps and screams and cries. I turned around and I ran over to Ginny, Ron, and Hermione.

"Harry Potter...Is dead. You put all of your faith in me now." Voldemort declared.

"No!" Ginny yelled. 

I held her back and kept her from running to the dead body.

"Ginny, don't. You'll get yourself killed." I whispered as I let go of her but put a hand on her shoulder.

I could hear her crying beside me. I sighed and I watched as Neville stepped forward holding the sorting hat.

"Harry may be dead. But he lives in us. All of us! And I won't let his death be in vain! We will kill you!" he yelled while standing his ground.

Voldemort wasn't scared. He had a smile on his face. No one seemed to know why. I looked around and saw his snake, Nagini, heading towards Neville.

"Neville watch out!" I yelled.

Neville saw the snake and pulled a sword out of the sorting hat! With one swing of that sword, Neville cut the snakes head off. Both pieces fell to the ground a few feet from Neville. Voldemort screamed in fury and he sent the death eaters after all of us.

The battle had started again. I ran through the school stunning death eaters who were too strong and taking younger students to safety.

I ran and ran. I ran into the Mess Hall and saw Ginny dueling Bellatrix. Ginny was losing. But right as I saw, Mrs. Weasley saw.

And she was mad.

Molly moved Ginny to the side and started dueling Bellatrix herself. 

"Not my daughter you bitch!"

Molly disarmed Bellatrix and soon all that was left of her was black ash. 

I ran over to Ginny to make sure she was ok and she said she was fine. I nodded and left Ginny with her mom. 

I ran out of the Mess Hall and I looked for Thalia and Nico. But instead, I found Harry and Voldemort having one last duel.

I hid at the entrance of the school and just watched it. More and more people came out and as they were apparating everywhere spells were being cast in all directions. The battle had paused all except for them.

They both stopped in the middle of the courtyard or whatever and they both cast one last spell.

The beams of light blasted against each other and the power grew and grew from both wands. But Harry was able to use more power.

The chosen one used all of his power and blasted Voldemort. The evil wizard stumbled back and watched as his biggest fear came true.

His body flaked into millions of pieces and soon nothing was left of Voldemort. Death Eaters were being taken to Azkaban in every direction. Only a few escaped. Draco and his family got out of there before the ministry came and they apparated away.

Thalia and I helped get as many death eaters as we could. Nico went back inside to help the injured.

Everyone knew that Hogwarts would never be the same. It would take a couple of months at least to fix all of the damages. I wished the gods would come and help but they wouldn't. All they were going to do was watch from Olympus. Who knows when I and the other two will even be able to go back to camp.

Thousands of people apparated in and out of Hogwarts. Some were taking their kids home, and some were taking their bodies home. 

When no one was paying attention I headed inside and I went into the Room of Requirement. I formed a cloud of mist and I was able to start an Iris Message to Camp Half-Blood.

"Percy? How is it going there? Are you ok?" Chiron asked as he appeared in the mist.

"I'm fine. Thalia and Nico are fine. The war is over. But many people died..." I replied.

He nodded and we talked for a little while about what was happening there and in Olympus.

"Any chance you know when we are coming back?" I asked.

"You will be staying for a while. I wouldn't expect coming back for at least a year." Chiron replied calmly.

"A year?! What about monsters? What about everyone at camp?! How do you expect us to stay here for another year at least?!" I yelled.

"Calm down Mr. Jackson. Monsters can't track you there. You won't be attacked by monsters at all while you are there. Only the ones in the wizarding world. And everyone at camp will be fine. And I'm sure you will have friends there that will make the time easier." he replied.

I groaned and threw my hand through the mist. I ran out of school and into the courtyard or whatever.

I could see the Weasley's all bundled together and I could see one head of brown and one head of black. I looked around just a little bit more and I could see Thalia and Nico sitting down close by keeping an eye out on the others. I headed over to the other two and sat back down next to them.

"How's it going, Percy?" Nico asked.

"We don't get to go back to camp for a year," I said with a groan.

"WHAT?!" they both yelled.

"I just Iris Messaged Chiron and he told me that we were going to be staying for at least another year. It could be longer. My guess is that we have to help with construction and any death eaters that are still on the loose." I replied.

"You have to be kidding me! What about the hunters?" Thalia asked.

I shrugged and stood up, "All I know is that we won't be leaving for a while. So we better get comfortable."

They both groaned and stood up. We headed over to the Weasley's, Harry, and Hermione.
