House Unity At Its Finest

Chapter 18

Everyone stared at the three of us in shock.

"You punched Ron?!" Ginny exclaimed.

Draco looked at his knuckles, "It was a strong one too."

Ginny scoffs and looks at Harry, "You punched Ron?"

"I was mad. He cheated on Hermione I couldn't let him get away with it. And you can't deny that you wouldn't have done the exact same thing."

Ginny just sighs and sits down, "You're right, I can't. But you could've brought me alonggg." Ginny whined.

I laughed, "Only Ginny would be mad about someone not bringing her along to punch someone."

She looked at me and rolled her eyes, "All of us wanted to punch Ronald. You three are just lucky."

I laughed and then heard a pop come from the kitchen. I walked out and saw Charlie standing there, "Sorry I'm late."

I laughed, "No problem, Charlie. It's good to see you."

He smiled, "You too Percy. Is everyone in the living room?"

I just nodded and we headed into the living room with me behind him.

"Merry Christmas everyone!" Charlie exclaimed.

Everyone immediately cheered up. They all hugged or high fived him and they were all smiling since we hardly saw him.

"Where's Ron?" Charlie asked as he looked around the room.

"He's with Brown." Hermione quickly replied.

As Charlie looked at Hermione closer I could tell he saw the puffiness in her eyes, "Ginny please tell me you bat boogy hexed Ronald."

"Sadly I didn't. But Draco, Harry, and Percy gave him a beating," she replied with a smirk.

"Draco?" he asked before turning around to see the Slytherins.

"Hey, Charlie," Draco said with a small smirk.

"Huh. The things you miss when you're in Romania," he said before shaking their hands.

"Well, I was hoping to eat whatever is left of Mom's cooking. Let me just put these down," he said before putting down a box filled with gifts by the tree and heading into the kitchen.

Once he got food he brought his plate into the living room and sat down on the floor against the wall, "Well who's handing out gifts this year?"

It's two hours later and every gift has been opened. I was picking up wrapping paper and gift bags when I saw a small box under the tree.  

I put the gift wrap in the trash bag by the couch and then picked up the box. I looked over the packaging and saw that it was to Hermione, but it didn't have who it was from.

"Hey, 'Mione?" I said looking over to her.

"Yeah?" she asked.

"This is for you. It doesn't say who it is from though." I said before handing her the small white box.

I looked at all of the faces in the room trying to figure out who it was from but I couldn't figure it out. But I couldn't really focus because I heard Hermione gasp.

I looked towards her and saw that she was holding up a silver necklace in the shape of a heart with a snake around it. I looked closer and saw it had ruby red eyes. It was almost a combination of Slytherin and Gryffindor.

Slytherin.

And.

Gryffindor.

I looked over at Blaise, Theo, and Draco and saw Blaise and Theo were confused, but Draco just had a blank stare. I looked back at Hermione and she was reading a paper. She then looked over at the three boys and figured out what I had figured out only a few moments before.

She cleared her throat and put the locket back in the box, "Draco, can we please talk outside?"

He nodded and got up and they both walked out of the Burrow.

"Oh my god..." Ginny said with a laugh.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked.

"I didn't know this was how he was going to tell her!" she said before exploding into even more laughs.

I looked at everyone else to see if they knew but no one else did. 

Except for Blaise. 

Soon he was on the floor laughing also.

"Blaise?" I asked.

She calmed down and sat up, "Draco is in love with 'Mione, mate."

Everyone's jaw dropped.

"I knew it!" Harry exclaimed.

"How did you know?" I asked. Harry wasn't the brightest person in the group.

"I just see how he looks at her. How he looked at her when she was with Ronald. Plus, Draco punched Ronald harder than I ever thought possible when he found out he cheated on her."

Annabeth looked over at him impressed, just like everyone else.

"I think it's cute," Piper said with a small smile.

"The Slytherin prince and the Gryffindor princess. Now that's house unity at it's finest." Theo laughed.

"So you knew Ginny?" I asked.

She nodded, "And I also know that our Gryffindor princess has a crush on the Slytherin prince."

Piper squealed and everyone looked at her with wide eyes, "What? My mom is the goddess of love. I can't ship people?"

I laughed and shook my head, "I can't blame you."

Everyone talked for a little while longer and soon enough Draco and Hermione came back in. I looked at Hermione and she had the locket on. She also was holding hands with Draco.

"Looks like the Slytherin prince has found his princess?" I asked.

He nodded and Hermione had a small smile grow on her face.

"And the Gryffindor princess found her prince," Annabeth added.

"House unity at it's finest, indeed."
