House Unity At Its Finest

Chapter 11

The whole family turned their heads towards me and looked at me curiously.

Hermione looked at me trying to figure out what I was going to say but then she just asked, "What's up, Percy?"

I sighed, "I talked to Draco earlier while I was working on the fireplace in the common room."

"Wait, wait, wait. Did you just call Malfoy by his first name?" Fred asked.

I groaned, "Yes, I did. Now listen to what I have to say."

Fred sighed and he put down his chicken leg giving me his full attention.

I just rolled my eyes, "He told me that none of them wanted to be death eaters. They were forced to become death eaters by their parents. Also, Draco is the only one with the mark on his forearm. The others don't. So the least you could do was to be civil with the other four. They all apologize for what they did before, and Draco hopes there can be house unity and no more rivalry between Gryffindor and Slytherin. And I'm guessing he wants that to start with all of you."

Everyone was dead silent. Thalia and Nico had walked over and sat down beside me. They had heard the whole thing. Thalia had become decent friends with Pansy and Daphne. And Nico found someone to talk to in Theo. 

I had been watching all of the Weasley's with my full attention trying to read their expressions before Harry sighed and stood up.

He walked over to the table that Draco and his friends were out and I did my best to hear them.

I could see the two talking to each other and eventually Harry stuck his hand out for Draco to shake. I could see a small smirk grow on Draco's face before he took Harry's hand and shook it.

I grinned and pointed towards the two, "Now that's house unity at it's finest."

It's two months later and the last day of repairs. Everyone has become friends and Draco personally went up to Hermione to apologize. She had forgiven him and soon enough everyone was friends.

Our group was assigned to do all of the common rooms and dorms. So we had fun redecorating the areas.

At the end of the day, McGonagall called everyone into the great hall for one last meeting.

"I would just like to say thank you for all of those who have come and helped us rebuild our loved school. I know we have been in dark times but I hope that the thought of new students coming to see an almost brand new school with smiles on their faces helps you block those dark memories of this place. Now I would like to invite a group of students onto the stage just so I can speak about them for a quick moment. Now would Percy, Thalia, Nico, Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Draco, Pansy, Blaise, and Daphne please come on stage?"

I looked at my new and old friends and we all stood up and walked onto the stage. 

"Now, I'm sure most of you know most of these wonderful students up here but most of you have no idea who three of these students are. So let me introduce them to you all. Please step forward, Percy." McGonagall said with a smile.

I stepped forward and she started to talk about me.

"Percy is a transfer student along with two others. They are from Olympia School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the United States. It is a new school so I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know about it. Percy is part of a group that is similar to Dumbledore's Army for those who know about that. He has been apart of many journeys and is very similar to Harry. And even though he has done so much for his own school he has done so much for ours as well. The three students went with our golden trio to hunt for Horcruxes. Percy saved Fred and Percy Weasley by having them go defend our school in a different area before a wall exploded. And although this is amazing there is still one more thing. He helped bring unity in these Gryffindors and Slytherins standing beside him."

Everyone clapped and I felt someone pat my back. I saw Harry standing there with a smile on his face and he stepped back to where he was standing.

"Now I would like Thalia Grace to step up," McGonagall said. Thalia stepped forward and McGonagall started to introduce her.

Thalia and Nico pretty much had the same speech about them that I had. We were all introduced and in the end, there was a round of applause for the three of us.

McGonagall dismissed everyone and everyone apparated home or used the floo network to get back home. Draco and his gang apparated away after waving bye to all of us and the rest of us apparated back to the burrow.
