"Negotiation is the key to get what you wanted sometimes, Thranduil. I know that you do not want to waste elven blood for their sake but if it is really your heirloom then you must've help them. I, myself don't really do negotiations when it comes to killing people because you know... My job is just kill people and don't try nor hesitate to go against the organization because they'll surely kill you which what happened to me." I put a chair in front of him and look at him while talking.
"So you went against them?" He asked and I nod.
"Well... You see, the guy that we I used to kill have a family. His child's still small. I'm a doctor, Thranduil. I may be an assassin but I still care about life. I am not a statue I'm human. I still have emotions." I said and gave him a sad smile.
"It's just sad that I realized it very late. Dying is part of everybody's life but I saw everytime I have my mission that dying unnaturally is indeed very painful. So... I believe you are going to do the right thing now. I hope you will." I continued.
"Your situation and mine are different, Jade. It is not as simple as you think it is." Thranduil answered. And yeah, obviously our situation aren't really the same because mine was more complicated than him.
"Actually, yeah... Our situation's not the same because mine was more complicated than yours." I voiced it out.
"Yours was just a bag of gem while mine were lives. I just want to say that, one day your real enemies will come and destroy your forests and all. It is better that you all will be in good terms for you to defeat them. You may have plans but without unity, it will just go to nothing." I said and looked at him seriously.
"You have to think about it for a million times before you decide, Thranduil. I'm telling you, one day, you'll need their help too. When one day, some of them will come, I hope that you'll be courteous to them." I continued and decided to stand up for me to look for Legolas to give the dagger that's meant for him.
I saw Little Legolas playing in the garden of the palace. He happily went to where I am when he saw me. I only smiled at him and gave him the dagger.
I saw in his eyes the happiness and excitement that I am expecting to see. As I saw this child's smile makes me remember the things that I have done when I am still on the other side of the world. I wonder, if I chose the different path, would I be here today? Would my life would be peaceful? Questions that keep on turning around my head everytime I see children and when I saw dying people. With just this things that I am thinking, I know I am not the same as before.
