Thomas' eyes widened. Ariella was in danger, and he had to do something.

He ran towards the Griever and pushed Ariella to safety. His arms flailed as he knocked away the metallic arms. The pincers of the Griever flailed around.

Thomas let out a groan of pain. The Griever had needled him over and over, and he fell to the ground.

Ariella knelt down next to Thomas and cupped his face.

After a moment, she dragged him across the Glade, using most of her weight. She dragged him to the closest place, which was the Homestead. She managed to get him onto a couch and looked him over. She ripped his clothes away to check for further damage, besides what she already saw.

Ariella rushed to the cabinet and pulled out the necessary serum. When she found it, she grabbed a needle and pricked Thomas's arm.

He let out a small breath and relaxed.

Ariella refused to leave his side until she knew he was alright.

Hours later, Thomas opened his eyes. "Thomas?" Ariella asked softly.

Ariella let out a relieved sigh. "Oh, thank God." She hugged him and he winced. "Sorry. I'm so glad you're okay."

Thomas sat himself up, and rested his back against the wall. He drew his head closer to Ariella, and as she drew hers closer, a voice interrupted them. "Hey."

They turned to see Chuck enter the room and smiled. "Hey."

Thomas smiled. "Hey, Chuck."

Chuck grinned. "He's awake! Thomas is awake!"

Thomas winced. "Chuck, do you have to scream?"

He nodded. "Yes, and I should go get Newt."

"Yeah, you do that..."

Thomas rested his head against the wall as Chuck left and closed his eyes a moment before turning to Ariella. "We need to see who wants to stay and who wants to go. We have to get food, weapons, and anything else we need before we go. Medical supplies too."

Ariella nodded. "I'll get started."

Teresa, who was standing at the entrance, replied, "I'll help."

"Thanks."
