Chapter Two

Audrey's POV
I glance at my phone waiting for a text or call from Luca. He is suppose to call me so I can say goodnight to the boys. I nervously tapped my foot. Of course he won't call because he always forgets like usual. I let a tear slip from my eye. I quickly smeared it away. You can't always be so strong echoed Maggie's voice in my head. She doesn't know how it feels to be weak and lonely.

My phone rang. "Hey, Luca." I said wiping my tears with my hand. "Are you okay?" He asked seeming concerned. I ignored him for a few minutes. "Audrey, I'm so sorry that I failed you and hurt you." He said with a pained voice. "Are the boys awake?" I asked changing the subject. "No." He said too quietly. I wish I could tell you how I feel but I can't be used again. I kept repeating the words I wanted to say but I couldn't get to formulate them. "Luca?" I asked biting my lip. "Yes, Audrey?" He said.

I stare disappointedly in the mirror. I'm so pathetic. I hung up the phone. Ugh. I look over at my phone. 4 missed calls. What the heck. I call back. Anxiously tapping my foot. "What?" I ask annoyed. "You hung up on me?" He said with a chuckle at the end. "Oh right." I say through gritted teeth. "Luca, listen to me. I still love you but I hate you." I say looking down at my feet.

"Audrey, I love you so much." He said starting to cry. "I'm so sorry baby." He said again letting his sobs escape. "It's not okay." I say wiping my own tears away. "I don't know what to do." I said moving on to my bed. "I'll try anything and everything to win you back." He said sternly. "I don't think that will work." I said rolling my eyes. "How do you know?" He said.

"Go on a date with me. Please I'll show you." He said persistently. "No." I said getting mad. He breathed heavily. "Audrey." He said softly. "No Luca." I said letting a little moan escape my mouth. I remember when he use to whisper my name like that every night. I traced my lips. The tingle he left is still there. "Just give me a chance." He said pleading. "I don't know." I said aspirated. "Then I'll try to get you to say yes." He said confidently. "Okay?" I said confused.

"You know I will win and I will get you back." He said excitedly . "I miss you so much. I love you so much. I can't live without you Audrey Blair Moretti." He said. "I have to go. Goodnight Luca." I said sadly. I hung up the phone. I want him back. I love him so much. Ugh. Decisions. My heart says yes but my mind says no. I laid in bed and waited patiently until I drifted off to sleep.
