Two weeks later~
"Kyoya sure has been acting strange, hasn't he?" Kaoru asked, confusedly.
"Yeah, what's wrong with him boss?" Hikaru chimed in.
"I have no idea." Tamaki ran a hand through his hair.
"Maybe he needs some cake!" Huny pulled out a cart of cakes and sweets.
"Bad idea." Mori chided.
"Well? What's wrong with him!!!" Haruhi tried to get the boys back on track. The hosts continued to whisper behind one of the large pink couches in the club room.
"Hey Hikaru! Kaoru!" I ran through the club doors and jumped onto them, almost knocking them to the floor. Kyoya turned his attention to the sound of my arrival, before frowning and looking the other way. He looked pissed!
"Hey!" They twins cried in unison. I squeezed them both on either side of me, squishing our cheeks together. It's kinda become a habit to pounce the twins whenever I visit the host room. Kyoya barely reacted to my usual appearance and actions, but I could sense his dark raging aura.~
Damnit...! How can she act so nonchalantly after what happened?! After we... after I...
Kyoya's thoughts perturbed him in ways he wasn't accustomed to. A feeling that seemed to devour him whole, threatening his composure each time he saw her... each time she smiled... each time she laughed and talked with the hosts. She'd integrated herself into their lives, becoming a close friend to the hosts and a few of the guests. Her presence brought warmth to his heart, something he had never truly felt before. This.. strange feeling seemed to take ahold of him by the mere thought of her... Just in the way she spoke, her strength, and her kindness...
He felt trapped in his confusion, driven weakly to anger and resentment. He couldn't let her destroy his defenses so easily! This facade he'd sculpted, the him he created... he felt like it was crumbling...
Kyoya?" Tamaki approached the scary aura. "Is everything alright?"
"I need some air." Kyoya stormed out, taking only a moment to take one last glimpse of his temptress.
She looks so strange, like, she's pretending to be happy. He'd know that look anywhere, after all, he wore it every day.How can he win her heart? After all... it seems, against all the odds.... she's stolen his.
~
I let go of the twins to see Kyoya glance back at me with confused eyes, before leaving the room.
Kyoya
It had all been so mesmerizing, intoxicating, and wonderful..! Till... it all shattered when he said those damn words.
"Does it matter?" "Is it because I don't love you." My heart shattered like glass at those words. However painful, I need to talk to him... it's been two weeks, I can't take this any longer! I need to appologize to Kyoya. He didn't understand, and I blew up at him. He must have been horribly embarrassed as well, being such a confused and closed person. I can't imagine being yelled at and humiliated the way he was for not understanding something he saw as normal! I'm so sorry Kyoya!
"I'm sorry guys, but I have something I need to do!" I hugged the twins again and ran out to find Kyoya. Before I could turn the first corner, I ran into Mori and Huny.
"Oops! So sorry! Hey, have you seen Kyoya?"
"No." Huny spurted out.
"Oh, he must have gone the other way!" I ran down the other side of the hall.~
"Phew! Quick thinking! Don't you think, Takeshi!" Huny cheered from Mori's shoulders. "Kyoya did not look very happy! Good thing we kept her away from his wrath!"
Mori simply nodded.
