"What the-?!" Was all I could sputter out. There, before me in a heavenly light, stood seven extremely attractive people.
"What's going on?!" I tried to keep my voice calm. My heart beat feverishly as I tried to look them in the eyes, though my anxiety kept getting the better of me. I stared down at their feet in fear.
"ようこそ ~" A charming and very beautiful boy with golden hair knelt with a perfect red rose extended towards me. I could feel panic in my body growing, my focus became how to escape this situation and never have to face them again.
"Tamaki, I do believe that you are frightening our dear foreign friend." The boy with glasses spoke in perfect English. My heart rate slowed a bit with relief. Someone here does know English! Thank goodness. The golden boy known as Tamaki rose to his feet and bowed.
"Please forgive me, dear princess~ I hope I did not truly frighten you too terribly~" His voice was also clear and proper.
"Geez Tamaki! Couldn't you tell she wasn't Japanese!?" The two gingers spoke up in a mocking tone.
"Shut up! How was I supposed to know?! Her beauty just dazzled me~!" Tamaki tried to make a dramatic excuse that would flatter me.
"Calm down guys! You're being rude!" A very loli boy joined the conversation from his perch on the back of a very tall boy. How old is he? He looks like a child...?
"So my princess~ who would you like to see today~?" Tamaki snapped back into his polite aura. He caught me as I tried to turn and sprint out the door.
"U-um.... I...uh.. I was just looking for a place to be alone! Um, sorry! Bye!" I turned to leave again, but ran into another host. No, a hostess?
"I'm so sorry! Are you alright?!" I frantically helped her up, internally panicked. She smiled at me and thanked me. Even she speaks clear English?!
"Pardon my intrusions, but why are you wearing a boys uniform?" The hosts fell silent and Tamaki seemed to turn white.
"What do you mean?!" The hosts squeaked.
"W-well, she's a girl, and she's wearing a boys uniform." I began to sink back into my shell.
"Because I owe them money, so I became a host to pay them back. I kinda broke a really expensive vase." She explained nonchalantly.
"O-oh, that's kinda cool." I tried to stay calm, but my voice gave away my discomfort.
"My name is Haruhi, that's Tamaki, Kyoya, Huny, Mori, Hikaru, and Kaoru." She explained, pointing them out as she named them.
"O-oh..um.. My name is (), nice to meet you! Now, I really should be heading home now." I tried to flee, but someone grabbed my arm.
"I think it would be in your best interest to stay and get to know your fellow school-mates. After all, I've noticed you don't seem to speak much Japanese." Kyoya released my arm and smiled.
"Why are you smiling at me like that?"
"Like what?" He asked calmly.
"You smile is fake, it isn't sincere at all." I'm not very social, but I can read people's eyes and emotions like my own.
"You don't need to force a smile on my account if you don't want to, I'm probably not worth it anyway... Thank you for your concern, but I really should be going home now. Goodbye." I bowed lowly, then walked quietly out of the room.
"What was that?" A girl from one of the tables chided.
"I don't know!" The girl next to her scoffed.
"How dare she talk to Kyoya-senpai like that!" Yet another girl whined.
"Yeah! How rude!"
"His smile is perfect!"
The girls, who had been secretly watching, started to gossip about how selfish and unkind I was being to their perfect Kyoya~senpai. I could hear their voices echo down the hall as I ran. I covered my ears and tried to quiet their harsh voices.
"Kyoya?"
"Yes, Tamaki?"
"What was that?"
"I honestly have no idea."
The hosts gasped. The infamous Kyoya, didn't know something about someone?!
