The next morning, I wake up with my hair tied back in a bun, wearing the same clothes as yesterday, jumping out my bed.
"Hey, did you hear about Clarke?" Monty asks me as soon as I do.
"Yep. She'll be fine." I explain, not wanting him to catch on to the fact I know why she's there.
"I'm just worried about her, that's just - extreme you know? Has she said anything to you?" He continues. He looks genuinely worried, which makes me feel even worse for lying.
"Look, Clarke will be ok. Don't worry about it. Just go an enjoy breakfast." I insist, and he gives me an odd look before then nodding and walking away.
I sigh and leave the room, not wanting to go back to sleep, and worrying about what's going on with Clarke. It reaches afternoon and she's still not back yet.
I know that the only way I'm gonna get in the medical is by being injured. And I need to think fast before Clarke goes without me. So I run to the dorm, looking around eagerly for something that can harm me.
After no luck, I decide to go the the main hall. Hardly anyone is there and no food is being served so I walk over the cutlery area and pick up a knife. Without even waiting to get into the dorm I dig the knife into my skin, wincing in pain as I watch the blood drip down my arm.
"Hey! Someone stop that girl!" Someone calls and I look up at an old lady who is pointing at me, fear in her eyes. As the blood continues to spill, rapidly, I become faint and I feel my body collapse.

I wake up in medical, the same place I was after I threatened Maya. I look down at myself, surprised to see I'm not wearing the patient's usual clothes. Instead I'm in my usual attire - black camisole and jogging bottoms. My shoes and socks have been taken off and when I look down at my arm, it's been stitched and I'm attached to a monitor. I pull the needle attaching me to a monitor off and look around the ward, sighing with relief as I spot a blonde haired patient in the distance, sitting up.
I instantly know it's Clarke. She rises to her feet and turns around, looking at me. "Ariel." She says and runs towards me, pulling me into her embrace. I wrap my arms around her as well. "You're up just in time. "I found something." She informs me and I curiously tilt my head as she grabs my arm and pulls me over to a circular vent. It's small but we could fit in it. I watch as Clarke pushes with all her strength, opening the vent and crawling inside. I follow after her, putting the door back where it was.
Clarke and I then stand up and my eyes widen in fear and shock at what is before my eyes. People are hanging upside down, attached to monitors, in only their underwear, with blood dripping down them. I feel absolutely disgusted. I knew this place was too good to be true.
As I look closer, I notice that the tubes are extricating blood from these people and taking it into a machine. What the hell do they want with these people's blood? They must be grounders, I think to myself as it hits me that my people could be next. Clarke and I exchange a look as we walk further into this hellhole.
