Cassidy's POV
The rest of the night carried on as if the world was spinning faster than it should.
It was hard to think straight. All of my collective thoughts whirred in circles throughout my mind, and it was genuinely impossible to center myself. Not to mention, my head was still pounding from that blasted shovel blow. Nothing seemed to help the situation either: especially the bickering between my teammates.
Lady Heather and Lady Jo had been barking at one another for what felt like hours now.
"Thanks again for blowing the challenge, Jo," Heather growled.
Jo scoffed, accusing her in return, "Me? You're the one wasting time arguing instead of digging!"
"I wouldn't have needed to argue if everyone had just done what I told them to do," Heather snapped back, "I'm the one with the most experience on this team!"
"Oh, for heaven's sake, you two, may you please just cease this pointless screaming?" I groaned, holding an exhausted hand up to my head. They both turned to face me, glaring or rolling their eyes before going back to their argument.
While I was ignored, Lady Gwen thankfully took matters into her own hands. "It's everyone's fault for not working as a team," she said, thoroughly annoyed by this point, "Now, cram it! I am trying to sleep!"
//
//Gwen//
*she gasps* Did that sound villainous? I didn't mean to be harsh but . . . ooh, bunking with the Bickersons is driving me bonkers!
//
No matter what either of us did, neither lady opted to calm down for the night, and thus I went without sleep for yet another stay here. I had grown weary of this by the first night back, that combined with the malnourishment of losing leaving throbbing holes all over me.
As morning came we were told to meet at the nearby clearing, and after getting dressed I walked my team over. I forced my back straight as I went, determined not to slouch despite how painfully tired I was, and I masked a yawn with my hand.
Glancing back at my team, I could see some sort of convention taking place surrounding Lady Gwen. Ladies Jo and Heather, along with Alejandro and Duncan, were all attempting to speak with her, the ladies giving some form of apology to her, and I was truly beginning to feel left out. They were trying to gain her favor, there was no way anyone amongst this team would be sincere enough to mean otherwise. This was the villains' team, after all, they made that entirely clear.
//
//Heather//
Teamwork? Ugh, don't make me barf! I am still going to take control.
//Jo//
And getting Gwen on my side is the best way to do it-
//Heather//
After all, where Gwen goes-
//Jo//
-Duncan follows!
//Gwen//
I know they're both trying to play me, and I love it! For once, I've actually got a little power over here, go, team, Gwen!
