Tensions were high going forward, much to my dismay.
No matter my destination, I was unable to shake the feeling of being watched. Of course, I was not referring to the cameras- that was an unfortunate obstacle I have accepted. What troubles me now is the risk of sparking fights.
It was clear Lady Courtney was not the fondest of me. Why? That was just it; I had yet to learn why. If I had to guess, perhaps it was my status? After all, I am quite the unfortunate outlier on the Vultures, a thread of gold woven into a sheet of black. I was a hero. Even Chris knew as much; thus, I stood out, and it would appear she was far from accepting of this.
My point remains, no matter where I find myself on the island - on a stroll in the morning, exploring the spa hotel, anywhere - I could feel something burning into the back of my head. As if someone was watching, waiting for me to crack. It was safe to assume she wished to expose me; as what exactly, I was unsure. Regardless, I was on my toes.
I braved through my head trauma best I could, the rest has helped more than I could have hoped. Additionally, those in service at the hotel were more than happy to assist, and with a few medicines, I felt fresh as a daisy once more. Thank heavens, I don't know how much longer I could have taken the pain without screaming.
Evening came faster than I had anticipated. Lady Gwen and I were in the girls' dorm, taken to our respective notebooks and enjoying each other's company. A moment of peace, which our host soon cut short.
"Evening campers!" The announcement bellowed, Lady Gwen glancing my way, "Gather around the starting line for a BIG announcement!" Returning her look, we made our way outside, standing with the remaining Vultures by the line in question.
Scott soon joined us, Sir Hatchet dropping him from the helicopter above, and he landed directly at my feet. A perfect opportunity to strike, but I held the urge back.
Lady Courtney fell to her knees in front of him, "Oh my gosh, are you okay?"
Scott's expression went from pained to confident in less than a second as he stood up. "Why wouldn't I be?" He smirked, dusting his clothes off, "That was nothing!" The cracking of his bones disproved that quite quickly.
Regardless, Lady Courtney sprang up to her feet, "Well, good! We have the challenge to win, get it together!"
Almost impulsively, the vermin saluted her. I blinked; I would never have taken Scott as a submissive type.

Maybe it's because Papi's in the army and Mama's a waitress but, I kind of like taking orders.
//Courtney//
My only interest in Scott is as an ally. Really! Sure, he's cute, but in a sloppy, rustic sort of way, like a shack with nice curtains, or a donkey wearing a wig.

Soon after that exchange, Chris arrived. "Good news, you guys," he announced, playing with the safari hat he wore, "As a special treat, it's time for an extremely dangerous nighttime challenge!"
"How is this 'good news'?" Lady Gwen asked, which made him frown before continuing.
"Entertainment value, hello! This one is going to be rating gold!" Chris gestured his hand beside him as Sir Hatchet rolled a television over, "In a nod to season four's buried treasure fiasco, your challenge is to race to the other end of the island. The first team to get every member across the finish line wins and someone from the losing team will be taking the big flush."
