Chapter 9

I sat and relaxed as Johns hands placed the cream on my back. I closed my eyes at the feeling of his huge hands on my back. His hands moved from my shoulders to my lower back.

"Huh. What cream is this?" John asked.

"Vanilla and strawberries" I answered, looking over my shoulder.

"Really? I remember you have the same smell since a teenager" John states.

"Wow. You still remember" I said and John smiles.

"Of course. How could I forget?" John said jokingly.

"You are so silly sometimes" I let out a small laugh. John removed his hands from my back and layed back with his hand at the back of his head and his other hand on his stomach. I applied cream to my arms and legs. I watched as the water washed on the shore and kids had water guns and shot each other, running around and having a great time. I remember the times me and John would play on the beach with each other, he'd throw me with water and I'd splash the water. After some time, me and John decided to go home, since its getting late. We packed up our stuff and head back to his car. Once everything was packed in the car, I let out a happy sigh and John looks at me.

John POV

I heard Y/N let a sigh and I looked at her. I noticed two guys looking at her, looking at her ass. I felt anger wash over me, maybe its jealousy or anger. Maybe its both. I looked away, trying to push those thoughts out my head. As I turned around, I heard Y/N gasp and the sound of skin slapping. That's when quickly turned back around and faced Y/N, the one guy slapped her ass and other grabbed her waist. I immediately punched the closest one to me, the blonde fell back holding his face. The other one ran to me and threw a punch, I dodged and grabbed his arm. I threw my fist up and it collides with his bottom jaw. I threw him over my shoulder and the blonde stands up and he runs to his friend. They looked at me in fear before running off like scared cats. I turned to Y/N.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Thank you John" She hugged me, her arms wrapped around my body. I returned the hug and kissed her head. Soon I heard her soft sobs and immediately pulled away.

"Why are you crying?" I asked, worried.

"If you weren't here. What would they have done to me?" She cried, tears rolling down her face and her soft E/C eyes turns sad.

"I know but I won't let that happen to you" I said as I wiped her tears.

"Not while I'm around" I continued.

"Promise me, you'll never let that happen" She said, asking for reassurance and it was evident in her eyes.

"I promise, no other guy will touch you while I'm around" I said and I will keep my promise. I want her safe and I know I'm the only one she trust.

"Thank you John. Your the best. I can always count on you" She said, calming down a bit.
