1.30 "Thank You"

Next day.

I walked around time and froze when i saw Jefferson sitting there on a bench by the docks.

I walked over to him "Jefferson?"

He clenched his jaw and looked at me "Echo"

He put a piece of paper away. I knew what it was. Grace had spread papers around town looking for her father.

Me "She's looking for you, isn't she?"

Jefferson "what do you know about it?"

me "why are you still here, Jefferson? she's at school"

He stood up "i gotta go home, Echo"

I stood up and stopped him"she probably wants to see you"

Jefferson "get out of my way"

I shook my head"not gonna happen"

Jefferson "get out of my way"

I asked pissed off "Why aren't you going to find her?!"

He grabbed me by my shoulders and looked me in the eyes "Because i left her! and she'll hate me"

Me "i told you that i told that you'll come back to her!"

he shook his head "doesn't matter. I went to see her but fate reminding me i shouldn't"

I nodded "you should. I promised her you'd come back. She'll spend her whole life wondering why you didn't come back-Why i lied."

He sighed.

Me "School is gonna be over soon, please, Jefferson, talk to her"

He looked at me.

At the busstop.

Jefferson and i watched how he girls got off the bus. Grace was laughing with her friends.

Jefferson "Grace"

Grace stopped and turned around. She smiled and ran to her dad.

Jefferson kneeled down and hugged her .

Grace "Papa !you found me. I knew you would"

Jefferson lost some tears. So did i.

He looked at me and mouthed "thank you"

I gave him a soft smile and nodded.
