"I know you home baby..."

Mahika sat at the island in her mother's kitchen as she sketched in her book. This is what she did in her free time, with a love for fashion her book was full of designes of clothes and shoes she hopes to turn into a reality one day.

"Foods almost ready baby, and your sister should be back soon from the store." Marilyn says, wiping her wet hands on her apron.

Mika tenses a little at the thought of seeing her older sister, Mia. It's been nearly a year since she saw her and the last time they were in the same room , it didn't end so good.

A year earlier

Mahika nervously stood by the front door as she was working up the courage to go inside of her mother's apartment. With their father just up and leaving without a warning, Mahika couldn't take the blame her mother was putting on her and her sister for their father leaving so she packed up and just like her father, left without warning. Mika got her number changed and has been living with Francesca for nearly three months. At this time, Mahika had not started stripping yet, she needs money and even though it's wrong, she came to her mother hoping to get some more of her clothes she left behind and a few extra dollars.

Inhaling a deep breath, she licks her lips before lightly knocking on the door.Hearing shuffling behind the door, Mika grows nervous.

"Coming!" She hears the voice of her mother followed by locks turning before the door slowly opens.

Marilyn's green eyes that Mahika inherited comes into view making Marilyn let out a weak cry. Her eyes pool with tears as she sees her youngest daughter.

"M-Mahika. Oh my baby you're okay!" Marilyn dives in for a hug. Their arms wrap tightly around each other, tears streaming from the mother and daughters eyes." B-Baby...you're Okay. Thank you Jesus." She cries, pulling her inside.

Marilyn examines her daughter who looked skinnier and sickly. She hasn't seen her daughter for three months, when she sent out a missing report and the lowsy police only looked for a month before pronouncing Mika dead and they've stopped looking since then.

Mahika scoops the spoon of soup into her mouth, humming at the warmth and taste.

"Mahika Jorja....Where have you been? You....you just left!" Marilyn says after moments of silence.

Sighing, Mika knew this topic was going to be brought up. Yet she couldn't answer her mother.

"Answer me!"

"I had to mama! After daddy left you were blaming Mia and I like it was our fault! You loved daddy more than us only because he wasn't beating on you anymore!" She cries.

Marilyn bangs her hands on the counter." Watch who the hell you're talking to Mahika-!"

"Mama? Who you yelling at?" Mia walks into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes after being woken up from her sleep. Her glance lands on her sister and her face morphs into an evil glare." What is she doing here!?"

Both Mika and Marilyn were shocked at her tone,  they expected Mia to be happy to finally see her sister.

"M-Mia...."

"Don't speak to me Mahika! I...I....Why are you here! I thought you were dead! Mama the police said she was dead!"

"Stop it Mia. Why are you acting like this. Your sister is home, be happy." Marilyn says sternly.
