"We were never promised a forever..."
Beeeeeeeeep.
A blinding white light flashed before an electrifying shock ran through her system.
"Clear!"
Beep. Beep. Beep.
She gasped painfully for air, her lungs feeling as though they were being crushed and shriveled.
Coughing, tears fell from her eyes as her body burned with pain.
"She's back!" The doctor in the room breathed a sigh of relief, the other nurses congratulating him.
She turned on her side, shaking as she tried recalling where she was.
"Hey, hey, hey.Look at me."Doctor.Jay touched her shoulder comfortingly. "I need you to breathe okay? Deep breaths."
Mahika nods her head weakly, breathing in and out slowly.
"I need for you to turn on you back. Can you do that?"
She nods once again, slowly turning over and trying to ignore the pain she was feeling.
"Follow the light."Doctor.Jay shines a torch in both her eyes, watching as her green orbs followed. "Can you tell me your name?"
"M-Mahika...Jorja."
"How old are you?"
"...19."
He switches the light off. "Do you know why you're here?
She was hesitant to answer, until something snapped. "M-My baby...I gave birth to...Where is he?!" Mahika tried to sit up, her heart beat monitor beeping widely.
"Mahika please calm down! He's fine, 100% healthy and is sleeping."
She gulped thickly. "W-Where's Achilles?"
Doctor.Jay sighed, sitting on the edge of her bed. "He left yesterday, after...you gave birth."
"Y-Yesterday?"
Another sigh. "After giving birth Mahika, you died...You was dead for six hours."
She chuckled in disbelief, before seeing the serious expression displayed on her doctor's face.
"How...?"
"Internal complications. You lost a lot of blood that caused your body to go into shock before you died. It took a while before finding someone with your same blood type but we were able to achieve this."
"Have you called anyone? What about..."
"We called your mother and uncle, considering they're your family. But we haven't contacted anyone else." Mahika frowned."Hey...would you like to see your son?"
A big smile formed on her face, her heart beating fast in excitement. "Yes..."
In minutes she was swaddling her baby boy, his small body was wrapped in a blue blanket and a white beanie was on his head.
