Sighing, Marilyn cut off the hospital tv before going to stand on Mika's side.
"My po' baby..." she whispered, feeling a tear slip out her eye she quickly wiped it.
Seeing her daughter in this state pained her. Learning that Mika was nearly starved to death and raped made her livid knowing this all had to do with Power.
But she knew for a fact that she wasn't going to see that man ever.
"How is she?" Marcel, Darnell's twin brother asked as he stepped into the room.
He's been very supportive, checking on Mahika ever since she was emitted to hospital three days after she was found.
She's been in a coma for the last few days, and each day Marilyn's heart broke seeing her daughter this way.Mika had IV cords in her arms and hands, and they had just removed the breathing pump from her mouth...
"She's...the same ..." Marilyn croaked, dabbing her eyes as she felt tears well up in them.
Sighing, Marcel brought Marilyn into his arms, rubbing her back soothingly. This had brought her to her lowest point of almost losing her only child left.
"H-How could I let this happing Marcel? I shouldn't have let her get deeply involved with that man! This wouldn't have happened if I protected her. I couldn't protect Miandra...and...and..."
"Hey,hey,hey. It's okay, deep breaths Lyn." Marcel coached, continuing to rub her back.
Inhaling and exhaling deeply,Marilyn calmed down, her rate slowed down as her breathing regulated.
"You haven't slept or eaten in days Marilyn..."
"I don't want to let her out my sight."
"She's safe here. C'mon..." he urged, "We'll go home, let you eat, bath, rest then we'll come straight back. Alright?"
Sniffling, Marilyn nods slowly. "Okay..." walking over to Mika, she bends down placing a gentle kiss on her foreahed before her and Marcel left.
