"Sophia?!" Liam's voice rages.

Sophia ignores him and keeps on hitting my face, repeatedly.

"Stop!" My voice is small and I cover my face.

Liam picks Sophia up and wraps his arms around her waist so she can't move. She soon pushes him away and inhales.
"I knew you were cheating on me, with a filthy American!" She booms.

"I was never cheating on you, look at the mess you caused! We're done, it's over between us, I can't do this if you don't trust me."

Sophia's face is ghostly pale and tears are threatening her eyes. Liam rushes over to me. Liam helps me up and he puts my hair that's in my face behind my ears.
Two policemen enter the small coffee shop, and one of them take Sophia by her hand.

"M'am are you pressing any charge?"
I'm not starting this fight with her and I'm not sinking to her level, "No, I do not want to press charges."
"Okay, do you need anything for your injuries?"
"I'm fine, thank you."

Sophia is escorted out by the police and Liam's face is worried.
"Here, Let's go into the bathroom." Liam grabs my wrist and leads me to the bathroom.

As soon as we get in he goes into the stall and gets a bunch of toilet paper. He puts water on it, "Close your eyes," I shut my eyes and I feel a cold feeling on my face, bringing back memories.

"Liam and Ashleigh, time for dinner!" Karen yells from inside.
"Hold on, mum!" Liam screams.

It's winter of 2003, It's my sixth birthday and my foster mum let me go to Liam's house.

We run back up the hill, in the snow with the sled. I watch snowflakes fall slowly all over Liam, his nose is a bright red and he's smiling.
"Skittles, you first!" Liam says.

I sit in the front and cross my legs, Liam goes behind me and wraps his hands around me. I shove my bare hands onto the ground to push off and we go down the hill. I squeal and suddenly I fly off, and my head lands on a wall of a building. I feel warm liquid go down my face from my forehead. My head starts to sting and I cry.
"Skittles don't cry, shh it's okay!" Liam says, standing up from the sled. He walks over to me and I lean on him and put my hands around him and cry.

"It hurts!" I sniffle.

Liam takes a block of ice and puts it on my forehead, the icy coldness soon takes away the pain.

I hear a knock on the door and I open my eyes. A women in a black suit and short strawberry blonde hair enters.
"Cathy, why are you here?" Liam's hand still on my face.

"Hello Liam, may I talk to your friend here for a second?" Cathy smiles, but it's obviously fake.

"Why?" Liam's voice turn serious fast.

"Miss. Adams?" Cathy ignores Liam, I stand up from the sink and look at Liam before Cathy leads me to a table and we sit down.

"Would you like to earn some extra cash?"
