Chapter 15 : Dance with me, please ?

"Fine Cassie, I'll go."

I had finally gave in, after about an hour of Cassie trying to convince me that this was remotely close to a good idea. I knew it was stupid and that I would get hurt at the end of the night like I always do, but something in my gut is telling me to go.

"Good get dressed" Cassie tells me with a bright, triamphant smile

This girl believes in to many love stories.

I slipped my tight dark blue dress over my body slowly, hesitantly still deciding if I should wear something so revealing and sexy. I walk over to my mirror behind my door and my hands travel down the soft material. There were two diamond cut outs on the side and the back had a lace opening. I stared back at my reflection. I hadn't looked so good, or at least happy in so long. I couldn't recognize myself.

Once again I barely recognize myself as I run my hands through my perfectly tossled waves and stare down at my black high heeled boots. The dress hugs my curves tightly and accentuates my bum and curvy thighs perfectly.

Cassie then walks in and out smiles a triamphant smile.

"I told you that dress would look perfect, if only you listened to me. Now check out my dress."

Cassie says as she then spins to show off her tight pale pink dress and nude colored pumps. She looked perfect as always.

I smiled at my friend and began to wander how people as different as day and night could have gotten so close.

Cassie and I stumble down the stairs laughing.

"Hey Mel going out tonight? " My Uncle asks us.

"Haha, yes. It's actually a stupid idea that Cassie came up with. I'm going to crash Harry's birthday party " I tell him then frown.

"Ha, well you look amazing. Be as good as possible please. " He says to us.

"We will try. ! " Cassie says as we head out into the night.

"Night girls !" I hear him call out.

Strobe lights flickered to the bass. Red cups shown under a spectrum of lights. So many bodies, close together. Everyone was lost in the music and the effects of whatever drug they were on.

I made my way towards the dance floor in their house. I barely recognized the place l with the way it was decorated. I catch Niall's eyes and he jumps up from th Dj chair. And grabs his mike.

"MELANIE ! " He yells into the Mike and puts on one of the songs him and I danced too at this club a few months ago. I smile at him and waved. I soon bumped into Dani and Luke sucking each other's faces off on a couch in the corner.

"Hey Melanie. You stranger ! " She says and springs up to embrace me tightly. She smelled like lavender. She pulled away and gave me a perfectly white smile.

"I've missed you. Who have you even been hanging out with since you left the gang. " She asks and we both sit down after she hugs Cassie. Luke gives us all a wave and gets up to talk to louis.

In the middle of catching up with Daniella Cameron catches my eye. She smirks and my eyes travel to her hands. They were locked with his.

I look away quickly and stand up.

"Go say happy birthday " Cassie whispers and walks over to louis and Niall.

I look up at him. His hair was a bit longer, looked almost black under the dark lights. His green eyes seemed dull but he was still perfect. He smiled his perfect smile at a group of his friends who I didn't know.

I got up and walked over slowly, trying not to fall.

I feel confident, sexy. I cam do this. I said to myself.

"Harry. " I say and give him my best effort at a smile, silently thanking myself for buying those whitening strips.

"Uh, excuse me ? " Cameron says to me flipping her blond hair. I move in front of him and his eyes travel down my body.

He checked me out and stared back at me.

"Happy birthday. " I said and smiled again.

" Uh thanks Mel. I mean Melanie. " He says, surprised.

" You look good " I say and give him my best smile again. I flip my hair to one said with my hands and turn around to walk away from him.

"You too. " He calls out. I strut away from him and turn back slightly to wave. I make my way back to Cassie who was astonished.

"You are a bad bitch !" She says and smiles widely.

"Let's go to Nandos! " Niall suggests as we all walked down town. It was Calum and I, Cassie, Zayne, louis, Dani, Micheal, Ashton, Cameron, Micheal' s girlfriend Jess and Harry.

We all agreed and made our way towards the place.

"How was your night Mel ?" Calum asked me and put his arm around me.

"Hm it was good. I'm happy to be with everyone. " I explain and look up at him

"I'm happy your happy. " He says and smiles at me.

"I'm happy your happy too Cal. " I say to him.

I turn away from him and look back at Cassie who was talking with Harry. both of them stared back at me, Cassie waves and Harry averts me gaze, but I catch him smile.

"I want to talk to him Cal. " I say

"Harry ? " He says knowingly. His brown eyes dim slightly.

"Yes. " I say and look down at my black heels

"I'm paying for everyone !" I hear Zayn shout. Everyone teases him and we all decided to chip in.

The gang got back together that night some how. So many laughs and good memories were made again and some how some way I was able to feel confident and beautiful.
