Once we have finally climbed to the top of the mountain, we see a small forest. At the end of the forest, is water. Lots of water. Then, about 100 yards ahead of it, is the castle. The castle stands out on this beautiful day. The castle is a square with two floors. There are four towers on each edge, all are three stories. The one in the center stands out the most. It is five stories high with ivy growing up the sides. That tower must be important, but I can't figure out why. But the castle is still filled with evil, and my family.
The dark color of bricks do not belong on a castle in this area. Everything is nice and green and happy over here, but over the water is a different story. The grass is dead and an ugly shade of beige. The trees are leafless and turning grey at the stump. Only a few animals are seen, and it's mostly crows. That fact that everything that I see is half dead, it gives me chills. It also makes me wonder what the inside is going to be like.
"Lets start moving we don't want to be caught," stated Henry.
He was right we don't want to be caught. Not by those Trolls, who, too, look half dead. They circle the castle liketheir lives depend on it, which it probably does.
"We'll have to sneak past them," I say.
"Get past them? I don't think so. I mean, just look at them! From here I can tell if the queen doesn't want us alive, they tear use apart piece by piece!" Henry looks worried. What if hes right what we can't get past them. "You'll have to use your magic."
"What!" I almost shout. "Thats all you ever want me to do! 'Use your magic.' 'Oh I don't think we'll be able to do this. You should use your magic!' I don't even know that I have magic for one day and every chance you get you want me to use. Well, what if it doesn't work? Not only will we die, but so will everyone else inside there. I'm sorry, but we have to find a different way."
Henry face is beat red and is staring at the ground. He's clearly not used to being yelled at as a king. Too bad.
"If I never even went to your kingdom, I wouldn't be here! Even better, if you never came back.! If your parents just let your uncle rule the kingdom, there would be no celebrations! No one important would be there!" Henry stops and thinks. "If anything, its your fault. No one else's, your's!"
I should have walked away then, I should have, but I couldn't. "If I never bumped into you in the hall, you would be inside that castle! You would never have known to go behind my mirror! If anything, youshould be thanking me for saving you! And I don't even know why I'm in this realm! Clearly, my parents couldn'd just let me live a normal life!" I stormed away before he could say anything. I
I headed to the left, where the forest was thicker. I only took about thirty steps when ten brightly dressed fairies flutter their tiny wings toward me. The one wearing red speaks up.
"What are you doing in this part of the realm?" she asked.
"Oh, well, it's a little complicated. I'm trying to save my family," I answer.
"Well, I'm Rosy, and this is Sparkles," she said then pointed a fairy wearing purple and lots of sparkles,"Lily," this time the fairy was wearing a lime green dress,"Daisy," the fairy was wearing all white, "Sunny, and Sunflower," both these fairies were wearing yellow, "Aqua," this one wore light blue, "Stormy," she wore pink, "Rainy," this one wore yellow and hot pink, "and, finally, this is Rain, short for Rainbow." Rain wore, well, rainbow.
"Nice to meet you all," I start," but I think I should get going before-"
"Wait!" said Daisy. She said it very fast. "We, um..."
"We can help you," said Stormy.
"How?" I asked.
"We can help you by making your magic stronger," answered Aqua.
"How did you know about my magic?" I questioned.
"Oh, dear," said Rosy," we have powerful magic, and can tell who has magic and who does not."
"Would you like our help or not?" asked Sunflower, sounding impatient.
"Fine," I say after thinking it over.
Rainy takes off a small bag that was tied around her waist and looks inside it. She smiles then flies over to me. She sprinkles it over my head.
At first, I don't feel anything. But a moment later, I can't stop yawning and feel extremely tired. That's when I realize I've been tricked.
"Why?" I asked slowly.
I lean against a tree. Stay awake! I think. Don't give in! Don't give in! But it's too late. I fall to the bottom of the stump, leaning myself against it, and sit there. My eyes blink one last time before the shut. And realize that I'd didn't have a choice to stay awake.
