I hold the to my cell in my hand as I look down the hall. All the guards are on the ground sleeping, and so are the people in the cells. I stick my hand through the gate and unlock the door. I quietly sneak out and close it behind me.
I tip-toe down the hall to where I saw Henry and the troll go. I take a right down the hall and see door that has a warning on it: 'WARNING: ONCE YOU GO THROUGH THESE DOORS YOU ARE AT RISK OF CATCHING INFLUENZA' I ignore the warning and walk into the room.
It is another hallway filled with cells, but this time the people inside are sick and coughing. I walk past all the people until there is no one left. Where is he? I ask myself. I remember the troll saying they'll hang him in the mourning. I realize that I've slept too long.
I sprint out through the doors and down two hallways until I see an exit. I push open the doors to see the sun rising in the horizon. I hear sounds coming form my left and run to it. Once I go to the back I see a nightmare
There is a large platform five feet off the ground. A rope is being held up by thick pieces of wood. Under the rope there is a piece of wood that will when a lever is pulled. Henry stands on top the of the wood plank as they tie the rope around his neck.
I run like no tomorrow to the stairs.
"Lets get this done and over with," I heard a troll say as they reached for the lever.
"NO!" I shouted. I was on the platform and running towards Henry when a knife appeared in my hand.
I jumped as the troll pulled the lever. The floor beneath Henry collapsed and he was falling through. The knife my hand made contact withe the rope. It cut through the rope and both of us fell to the ground. The knife disappeared into thin air.
I lay on the grass next to Henry who gasping for air.
"Hey!" shouted a troll.
"Run!" I say as I pull Henry off the ground. We have to duck our heads so that we don't hit them on the wood above us.
We sprint out from the platform as the trolls clumsily run down the stairs. "Get back here!" they scream.
We run until we reach the edge of the castle and turn. Henry tugs on my arm and we both run to the door of a tower. He tries to open the open the door, but its locked. I take a step back and imagine the door flying open.
The door starts to shake as I hear the trolls coming closing. I hold my hands out in front of me and try again. This time the door flung open and we both ran inside. I quickly closed and locked the door.
The tower had very little light and I could barley make out the stair case that went around the walls. We went the stairs as we heard a troll try to open the door, but gave up.
When we reached the top, there was another door. Thankfully this one was not locked. Instead of running, we walked as quiet as possible to not get noticed.
We walked to the end of the hallway and listened for footsteps. We hear soft taps coming closer to us. We stand as still as possible. A girl my age with pitch black hair wearing a long black cloak walked into view. Instead of coming our way, she went the opposite way.
When the coast is clear, we take a left down another hall.
We're almost halfway through, when we hear trolls talking. The closest door is to our right and we run in.
The room is round and what looks like to be three stories high. There are shelves from the top to the bottom filled with bottles. I walk closer to the bottom shelf to what are in the bottles.
I pick one up that's labeled 'Abigail.' I look inside and see a light pink, cloud-like thing flying around inside. I slowly start to take the cork out. As soon as I take it off, the pink cloud flies out, goes across the room, and under the door.
"Wo," said Henry as he's stepping closer.
"What do you think this are?" I ask and look at the thousands of bottles.
"I don't know."
Suddenly the door pushed open and in walked the Dark Queen. She gasped and said in a whisper, "You!"
