"And he just left?" Damian frowned as Dick finished explaining his chat with Bruce.

"Yep. I would've thought he'd handle the news better, but there you have it. But hey, we got a sports car out his idiocy."

Damian smirked. "That's one way of looking at it anyhow. So what do we now?"

Dick thought for a moment. "We could catch a matinee, assuming you're all caught up on homework."

Damian grinned. "You know I am. Are we inviting Todd?"

"Nah. He's either asleep or watching TV. Either way, I think it's time for a brother's afternoon out."

"That doesn't sound as poetic as girls night out, but I accept on the grounds that I really want to see the new Aladdin movie."

"Sounds like a good choice." Dick said with a grin. The two boys, being overly dramatic gymnasts, flipped down from the tree they had been sitting in. After Dick had picked Damian up from school, they had gotten some ice cream and then gone to the park so that Dick could explain everything that had happened that day. And, of course, the two boys couldn't be bothered to be normal for once.

"That was a great movie." Damian commented as they left the theater several hours later. "The plot and characters were much better in this one."

Dick grinned. "They chose great actors too." He unlocked his new sports car and they both clambered in. "I especially liked how the Genie got a happily ever after with a girl in this one."

"Romance, yuck. Romance is for suckers."

"You might not think that someday, Dami."

"Why don't you have a girlfriend, Gray?"

Dick accidentally slammed his brakes at that unexpected question. He was grateful that there hadn't been anyone following him, and he carefully began driving again. The truth was, he honestly hadn't thought about dating in years. Once he had joined the League, he had given up on the thought of ever having a girlfriend. And he had been content with having Damian and Jason as his family. He had never thought that he was missing anything. Once he had been rid of the League, he had simply continued as he had the past seven years and not even bothered looking.

"For one, there isn't anyone I'd care to date." Dick said thoughtfully, more to himself than Damian. "For another, I'm busy right now trying to get our lives in order. And plus, there aren't a lot of people out there that are just dying for the chance to marry an ex-assassin."

"There are people who die for an assassin."

"I think you mean 'at the hands of an assassin' not 'I'm dying to be with this person'." Dick smirked at his brother, and Damian returned the gesture.

"You think you're so funny."

"Yes, yes I do." Dick grinned and ruffled his brother's hair. "Seriously though, Dami, I don't really feel the need to date. I have you and Jay. That's enough for me. Adding in a girlfriend would just overcomplicate things."

"So you're not lonely for feminine company?"

"No. Now drop it."

"I'm sure I could find someone if you get lonely."

"Shut up."

Jason snorted awake to someone staring at him.

"You always were a heavy sleeper." Bruce commented as he stared at his second son.

"How long have you been there?" Jason asked, completely unconcerned about the fact the Bruce was in his house and knew that he wasn't dead. He and Dick had figured it would only be a matter of time before the world's greatest detective figured it out.
