Nerdy marinette??

chapter 6: a new friendship

*Narrator P.O.V*

Marinette stared at luka until he finally said " umm mari i'm serious I really have something for that girl and I don't know what it is" luka blushed thinking of the blue-haired girl

"Ummm" marinette paused and blushed
'Maybe he likes me ?'  She thought

Maybe luka was in love with marinette , even though he bullied her in the past maybe he had a spot for her in his heart ,maybe all what people said about them not happening was false but all this was on a maybe

"Oh right umm OK who is this girl anyway?" Marinette dared to asked still blushing

"I don't know if I should tell you " he said blushing

"Oh ok let's start then " marinette said
"Cool" he said
" what's love is simple, that's just an emotion you feel for-"
"No you don't get me I know the definition but I don't know when we feel it for someone are there symptoms?" He said unsure

"Yeah they are, like you always want to impress the person , you have butterflies in your belly when the person is around, you're a blushing mess beside the person, you always flirt with the person, you can't formulate phrases while speaking to the person and much more" marinette listed

"Oh that's much I think?" Luka said unsure
" yeah and can..... can we be friends? " he asked

"Wait can you repeat ?" Mari said
"I said can we be friends" he said again
" yeah sure " she said happily
"Oh OK cool " he approached her

"And as we are friends can I get advises ?" He asked
"And what for?" She raised an eyebrow smiling
"I .....I think I'm in love " he admitted
"Oh right and what's the name ?" She crossed her fingers maybe he loved her
"As we are friends D-C I can trust you right?" He questioned
"Totally" she confirmed
"OK I think I may fall for a bluenette with freckles" he said blushing and her smile grew wider

Indeed she had freckles and was a bluenette so maybe all the hopes weren't gone ,she still had a chance with the boy of her dreams

"And do you think I know her " she asked hopefully

"You surely do" he said again

That's it she was going to faint when

*Beep Beep *

Her phone rang the time was 9;30 p.m her curfew was in thirty minutes

"Oh God Luka it's 9:30 we didn't reach the restaurant but it's too late now if I'm not at home in 30 minutes, I will be grounded ,sorry to cut this date short" she said panicked

"That's alright next time we will try the food there it's awesome and don't worry for me the boat is not far you can get home safely good night D-C" he waved and disappeared in the dark of Paris

She waved back and whispered 'I love you luka'
Then entered her car and drove back home

The ride to the Dupain-cheng's mansion was calm and bubbly, marinette felt happy about the prior events in the park, she got enough information so as to make this night one of her happiest

She parked her car entered the mansion and was welcomed by a worried couple

"Where were you ?" Sabine spoke worried

Her smile dropped , marinette felt guilty to have disturbed her parents just for a date

"I–i was with a friend" she responded slightly above a whisper
