Chapter 10 : Luka's Life (Part 2)

*Narrator's P.O.V*

Tuesday and Wednesday passed really quick because all he did was taking care of his family, working and working on his new song.

On the other hand, Thursday was a little different because he had to meet his idol 'Jagged Stone'.

It's been six years since he dreamt of this exact day.

So time passed really quickly and it finally came the time he had to pick up Marinette and go to where the competition was held.

He took a shower and decided to where a light blue hoodie and dark jeans with sneakers. The weather in Paris was getting colder each day.

"Mom I'm heading to Marinette's, you know the girl whose parents have bakeries would you like to get something?" He asked.

"No it's okay, enjoy your date see you tonight" She said.

"Ok when Juleka comes back home, tease her about her date with Rose for me please" He said.

"Will do" She laughed.

He decided to walk to her home since it wasn't that far from his.

He finally reached her house and was greeted by her parents glaring at him.

"Umm hey I'm Luka and I would like to take your daughter for a date" he guessed that her parents were the type to protect their daughter from the dangers of life.

'How cute' he thought deviously.

"Oh yeah she told us lots about you, make sure to take great care of her if not I'm going to ruin your life" Tom threatened him.

'Oh so you want to play the scary dad do you?' Luka thought.

He put on back his act and said,

"Got it Mr. Dupain" he faked to be gulping out of fear.

"Good" Sabine said

"Mom, Dad stop scaring him, he is not that bad" Marinette said going down the stairs then blushed seeing him.

They wore the exact same oversized hoodie but hers was baby pink with a white tennis skirt and long socks with some sneakers.

If someone saw them together,he could guess that they are a couple wearing matching hoodies.

" Hey D-C seems like we are matching" he smiled.

"Umm uhmm yeah I... I guess" She stuttered.

"Are you ready to go?" He asked still smiling.

"Uh yeah sure let's go" She blushed.

Both Tom and Sabine kept on giving disapproving stares to Marinette but could not speak their thoughts out because they promised to not get to much involved in her love life.

"Marinette you know the rules right? Be back before 10pm" Tom warned.

"Got it dad don't worry let's go Luka" Marinette pulled him out of the house before her parents could object any further.

They started walking to the competition.

Marinette felt the awkward atmosphere and decided to initiate a conversation.

''So Luka why did u decide to enter in the competition in the first place? '' She was actually curious.

She knew he liked Jagged Stone but felt like it wasn't the only reason to enter the competition.

'' Well what can I say? I mean Jagged stone has been my idol since I'm 12 and I wanted to meet him in person'' He explained.

'' Wow that's great I started listening to Jagged since I was around 10 or 11 and sensed that his music was really talking to me'' Marinette said.
