Nerdy marinette??

Chapter 12; Complicated relationships

*Narrator's P.O.V*

As tradition in François DuPont High, the eve of Halloween was spared so as everyone could prepare for the decorations.

Marinette was busy putting everything in place with the other members of the committee when she saw Alya and Nino coming her way.

She smiled and waved at them.

"Hey Mari, are our costumes ready ? I really want to see the result. I'm pretty sure we are going to win since we got the best seamstress in Paris" Nino exclaimed.

Every year one of the traditions of the school was that the committee  of the year should come up with an original idea to make the party more memorable.

So this year the committee voted that the best couple costume will win a reward given at the end of the party.

Ever since it was announced, that was all Nino could talk about.

He kept saying that the reward was surely amazing and he didn't want to miss that. That's why he begged Marinette to sew their costumes.

"Yeah I just need to put some little adjustments and that's it no worries. I may finish them today at latest 4pm. I'll call you guys."

"Aww Mari you are the best! Are you sure you don't want that I should pay you? It's nothing for me I promise." Nino said excitedly.

"Nino that's already the 15th time you tried to pay her and she declined the offer. Just leave it already." Alya said to her boyfriend.

"Haha yeah I like helping my friends and I'm actually trying to design as many things possible so as to practice on my skills. So you are already helping me a lot."Marinette smiled at the couple.

They had a little chat on the designs of the costumes when someone called for Marinette's help with the decorations in the main hall.

So Marinette had to bid her farewell to the couple.

Alya stared at her best friend's back and sighed.

Adrien told Nino how he almost had sex with Marinette. But was stopped by Marinette herself.

He explained how his intentions in the first place was to ask her to be his girlfriend when he got there but got distracted by her lips and ended up making out.

Nino then told everything to her.

The situation of Adrien and Marinette was getting messier every passing day.

As Marinette's best friend she knew that Marinette had a date with Luka few weeks back  and was confused with her own feelings.

This made the two so awkward lately. Every time Marinette or Adrien would glance at each other they would blush or sigh.

She found it entertaining to watch but bizarre at the same time.

She had to make something so as Marinette would realize how deep her love for Adrien was.

"Nino come I have to find a plan for those dumb lovebirds." She said smiling then dragged her boyfriend's arm to the exit of the school.

Meanwhile Luka was seated on one of the benches alone thinking about his life at the moment.

After 5 days of reflection, Luka decided to give his father a second chance. He ran away while being younger and realized his error and was trying to make up for it.

Some fathers would not look behind even if they knew damn well that they had a child that they should be taking care of.

So he kind of felt happy that his father came back and his mother just supported his decision.
