I had kind of a hard time writing this chapter. Not that I don't like it, it just took me a couple of sessions to get to this point. Might have been because I was in Prague while writing most of it and finished it the day I got back.
Todoroki POV
Shoto sat in the common area with his head in one hand. He stared at the floor. He was contemplating why midoryia had acted so strangely for the past few hours. It had started just before the movie began. Had he said something wrong? Did Midoryia see the amount of times Todoroki blushed in his presence? He had blushed a lot, even with his temperature regulation. The boy just had a way to do this to him, a simple smile, or sucking up a noodle would send Todoroki into a whole new level of appreciation for how cute the smaller boy could be.
Todoroki saw midoryia blush and get flustered a few times tonight, which gave life to the hope inside Todoroki. The hope that maybe, just maybe he had a chance with this adorable green haired boy. But he had no way to be sure, this was the shy Midoryia he was thinking about. The boy who would blush to a warm breeze.
Todoroki didn't see the point in thinking about this anymore, Midoryia obviously wasn't into guys in the same way he was. Todoroki was sure the greenette had a crush on Uraraka at the beginning of the year, before she came out.
"Should I come out? Maybe just to my close friends.... to Midoryia. Why do I feel a need to now? I've known them for months." This whole situation was confusing him. He decided to go to bed, taking the stairs so the loud elevator wouldn't wake Deku, and sub-consciously taking care to be quiet on the floor with Deku's dorm. Todoroki entered his dorm and immediately got ready for bed. Sleep evaded him for a time, because he was thinking too much. Mainly of the boy a few floors below. The bi-coloured boy began to breath slowly and deeply, an old technique his mother had taught him when he couldn't sleep as a child.
In the state of bliss and clarity that proceeded, Todoroki vowed that he would indeed tell Midoryia that he was gay. Maybe not the full extent of his feelings but definitely the basics. He promised himself he would do it within a week of now because he was afraid if he didn't put a time frame then he would back out. He wasn't afraid that he wouldn't be accepted, but it was something extremely personal. He wasn't good about talking about these things on a good day. Midoryia always made it seem comfortable though, inviting even. Izuku was fine listening to somebody's personal problems, or their life story. Shoto added "He always listens." to his mental list.
"Before next Saturday." Todoroki whispered to himself as he slipped off into sleep.
He woke the next morning around 10, His weekend alarm. Todoroki dressed in some comfy clothes and proceed downstairs for breakfast. He sat on a sofa with a small plate of food and clicked on the T.V. This was mainly for background noise as he ate. When he was finished his meal he brought his plate up to the sink and nearly walked straight into Deku who was coming down the stairs.
"Oh sorry Midoryia, good morning." Todoroki said, trying to keep the waver out of his voice.
"Morning Todoroki!" Midoryia replied, then took a deep breathe as if he was building his confidence, "H- hey Todoroki, do you... maybe... want to do homework together and then do some training?" The smaller boy looked at his feet as he spoke and had his hand on the back of his neck. Todoroki liked how the boy had something he did when he was nervous.
Midoryia noticed the pause from the bi-coloured boy. "Its ok if you have plans today or something, you probably do it's a weekend, what was I thinking, it was just a suggestion though you don't have too it's alright!" He spoke himself breathless
