I wrote this chapter in two sessions. I kinda really connect with it, And drew on my experiences as a reference.... loosely.
Midoryia's POV
As Deku got changed and headed back to his dorm he couldn't take his mind off how Todoroki had whispered in his ear. It had sent a shiver down his spine that he couldn't explain fully, and his reaction had lost him the match. He also couldn't help but think of how Todoroki held him down. Deku had squirmed and tried to twist out of the pin, mainly to try and hide his burning red face.
As he reached his dorm he pulled out his phone to text Uraraka
M
Hey, what time are you back tonight?U
It should be around 7:30/8, why?M
I just need to talk to you about something.U
Is it something important? I could come back earlier if I need to.M
No really it's fine. Do you want me to put some extra food on for you or are you gonna eat with your parents?U
If you could that would be great! I'll see you in a while.Midoryia sat at his desk and checked the time, it was already 4p.m. He sighed to himself, he had a few hours to kill before Uraraka got back. He filled his time by practicing guitar and updating his hero notes. Deku found himself at Todoroki's page, looking at the drawing of the boy that Deku made. When he realised he snapped the book shut in frustration and started towards the kitchen to start dinner.
As if his feet had a mind of their own, Deku went up the stairs instead if down and soon found himself outside Todoroki's door. He raised his hand and knocked. He heard a faint shuffling inside, and the click of a lock, before Todoroki appeared at the door. The bi-coloured boy looked like he had just woken up from a nap, the two colours of his hair were mingled with each other at the parting, and his eyes were heavy.
"Oh sorry Todoroki! I didn't mean to wake you, I was just wondering if you... wanted to help me make dinner again?" He said the last part very quickly while inspecting the floor beneath him.
"Its ok Mido, you didn't wake me, I had just woken up myself." Midoryia felt butterflies flutter to life in his stomach when Todoroki had called him 'Mido'. Why did Todoroki have to have this effect in him... no boy had ever made him blush by just thinking about them. He wasnt 100% sure what this meant about him, but he had a pretty solid idea... He found himself anticipating his chat with Uraraka more and more
"You coming?" Todoroki asked from halfway down the hall. Deku ran to catch up and they walked down to the kitchen in a comfortable silence. Midoryia had left his speaker in the kitchen the night before. He decided to hand his phone to the taller boy and let him choose the music tonight.
This time they weren't as active, neither of the boys danced fully or sang, but there was a bit of head nodding and hip shaking. Todoroki put on some lo-fi music as background noise, and they cooked in a very comfortable silence. Midoryia was conscious of how close they stood while preparing the meal, their shoulders almost touching. Midoryia could almost feel the heat coming from Shoto's arm, and could hear his calm breathing if he concentrated.
After they ate, Midoryia put the left-overs into the fridge and went to his room to wait. He tried to figure out what he could say, how to describe how he feels. How to turn these thoughts into words that won't humiliate him to say out loud. He wasn't very successful in this attempt. After a while his phone buzzed beside him.
