The Two Princes | Chapter 8

"Zak...listen"

"Listen? Why would I listen to you. I don't want to see you ever again!" Zak says, turning around and starting to turn the door handle before he feels a hand on his shoulder. It pulls him back and he feels his lips connect with another.

"Wh-what did you do that for?" Zak stutters, pulling away from Darryl's grasp.

"I had to shut you up somehow" Darryl explained, his face turning red. "What I was going to tell you before you went running off is that...I don't actually like girls"

"YEAH I KNOW YOU LIKE GIR- wait what?"

"Yeah, the only reason I'm dating Jenna is because I wanted to make my parents proud. I actually love you" Darryl says, not daring to look Zak in the eyes.

"I- I love you too Darryl. But we should probably get going now we're holding up the bathroom" Zak laughed not knowing what else to say, and turned around to open the door.

Darryl went to go find to Jenna, not knowing she was listening to the full conversation. 

"Where could she be?" Darryl thought, not seeing her anywhere. He asked around, and eventually found her kissing Zak. wAIT KISSING ZAK!?

"YOU USED ME!" Darryl yelled, not aware that there were other people around him.

"Darryl, I can explain!" Zak said, but Darryl didn't want to hear it. He went running out the castle, and Zak ran after him.

"Darryl, please wait!" Zak yelled, running as fast as he could. They eventually stopped when Darryl tripped over a tree root.

"It's not what you think." Zak said while catching his breath, "She kissed me when she saw you coming, I swear"

"I- I believe you. I know you wouldn't do something like that to me, I'm sorry for running"

"It's alright, no worries" Zak said, pulling Darryl into a hug.

"What does this mean for us now?" Darryl questioned Zak, letting go of him.

"Well, we already know we both like each other so...Darryl, will you be my boyfriend?"

"Of course I will, you little muffin."

"We need to head back and tell our families about us. If they won't let us be together, we'll run away." Zak said, helping Darryl up. They walked back to the castle and made it back just in time for the royal dance.

~Timeskip to later in the night~

"Everyone, I have an announcement to make" Zak said, standing on the staircase. "I have found the one for me, the one I want to be with the rest of my life."

*Zak's girlfriend's squealing intensifies*

"It is...."

"Darryl"

Yeah I know, I haven't updated in a long time and this is pretty short and very low effort, I'm just unmotivated to finish this. Anyways I'll let you guys vote for what happens next since the next chapter is probably the last

A. Their families don't accept them and they run away together, living happily ever after together

B. Their families accept them and there is no more rivalry between the families, and they live happy ever after.

Yes I want a happy ending lol
