Saturday night slowly came. Louis and his friend were finally out of work, free to do whatever they please- which of course was checking out the new city club.
When they first walked in, Louis automatically gasped at how neon and colorful everything was. The ceiling was covered in many black lights and anyone wearing white or brighter hues had an electric glow. Although a club where a lot of people go looking for sex, it was almost magical.
The boy's fascination was interrupted as brown eyes and freckles hopped into his view.
Matt grinned wide and pointed to the farthest end of the building, "Louis, they have karaoke!"
"First you say glow in the dark, which honestly is pretty cool. Now karaoke- what kind of place is this?" Louis laughed. He grabbed his friends hand and shimmied from the masses. "Let's have a couple drinks before we do anything crazy."
For about an hour the two sat at the bar letting loose. They listened to the music, kept an eye out for best dressed, cheers'ed each other with quite a few shots, and made small talk with those passing through.
And as they sat there, Louis felt out of place. Sure he liked having drinks and dancing at the club, but he felt as though he looked too blah. Matt looked cute with his tight slacks and button up, his features able to catch anyone's eyes. His face was even decorated with colors that would glow under the black light. Louis, on the other hand, wore a white t-shirt, jean jacket with cuffs rolled just above his wrists and black skinnies. No paints to look extra lively. Compared to Matt, he looked like too plain... and people always want someone who's visually pleasing.
Really, he just wanted someone to look at him with adoration and maybe a bit of lust.
Louis gazed at his feet dangling a couple inches off the floor. He couldn't recall when he sat down, why he was swinging his legs like a child, or who he might've stole the seat from. In fact, he couldn't even remember where Matt went- seeing as though he disappeared. The blue eyed boy wasn't shit faced yet, but things were fuzzy and it felt like every few time frames completely erased from his head.
Louis lifted his head to look for Matt. He needed his friend for security so he wouldn't do anything embarrassing or dumb.
"At least not do anything too stupid by myself." Louis giggled to himself and hopped off the stool. He glanced around the bar one last time. Although no Matt, he did see a head of pretty curls he'd like to touch.
"Louis!" A familiar voice called.
The boy's head snapped to the crowd, as a less drunk Matt pushed through people. Louis met him halfway.
"You know I've been waiting for you? Told you, like, fifteen minutes ago to meet me on the floor."
"Oh, you did?" Louis hummed. "Sorry, forgot. Dude, I've been thinking and I think now is a good time for that carraye-okaye. You listen to Queen much?"
"Okay, and yes." Matt chuckled. "What song?"
"Death on two legs." Louis suggested.
Matt raised an eyebrow, slightly unsure, "To sing in a club?"
Louis grinned and held his chin high, "There's a lot of random things happening here. It's only fair I add to the list."
