"Is it me? I am here."

Louis was at a loss of words. The man simply came from out of nowhere! Louis knew for sure he'd been alone with Lucifer- he'd peaked around the whole penthouse just a bit ago.

"I sincerely apologize for startling you, if that's what I've just done." The brown eyed man's expression was full of guilt.

"Just caught me off gaurd is all." Louis chuckled nervously then looked at Lucifer and spoke lowly. "Where did he come from?"

Lucifer casually pointed at the balcony. Louis' head snapped in that direction.

"Lucifer," the man scolded, "you can't just tell him I've come from the sky!"

"My lips were sealed, Liam. Even if it were me then I couldn't promise such an outcome because he recognizes nothing beyond mortal life."

Louis almost made a face at what Lucifer said but didn't bother- after all, it was less bizarre than someone appearing from thin air. He remained still, perplexed.

"Don't ruminate too hard. I would hate for you to short circuit." Lucifer observed the back of the boy's head, noticing a small mark at the nape of his neck. It was mostly covered, so Lucifer took it upon himself to push away Louis' hair. The man's eyebrows scrunched when he saw a scar about two inches long.

Louis only turned his head to meet Lucifer's eyes. There was a nauseating feeling in his stomach like a form of embarrassment, and he wanted to tell the man to never do that again. He wanted to yell at him for touching his scar. It happened too fast. His cheeks grew hot as the words failed to come out. Instead Louis smoothed the hair back down and turned to the balcony.

Louis shook his head, "It makes no sense."

"See?" The devil smirked at the angel. He decided against mentioning the scar- at least for now- and pretended like nothing happened.

Louis rushed to ledge in an effort to confirm there were no steps or ladders to climb up the building. He even took a moment to observe above him, which was useless considering only the roof was there.

Back inside, Harry crossed his arms and tilted his head. His eyes remained on the small human, "Poor thing could have a rude awakening."

"Do you really think that skittish man could end up in Hell?" Liam stroked his chin as he tried to picture it.

"Perhaps not, or not yet anyways." Harry shrugged with a grin. "There's always time to corrupt though, hm?"

Liam rolled his eyes, "Can't you let him be?"

"What's the fun in that?" Harry winked just as the boy came back in.

Louis looked around the room. It occurred to him that the main entrance had not been checked. Louis made a beeline and opened the front door, swinging it back and forth. He did it a couple times softly then jerked it. The door was silent- no squeaking that could've alerted Louis of a third party entering. Clearly it was how the man had come in unnoticed.

The boy nodded to himself. It made perfect sense. He skipped to the two men with a small grin. Louis bopped his fake partners nose.

"I get it now- just friendly teasing. Jokes on me. You and your friend here must've thought this through, huh? Making me think that I've gone cuckoo," Louis ghosted his hand over Lucifer's throat, "angel."
