Before I could hold my tongue I yelled. “What the hell? Is he a drug lord or some shit like that?!”
He slowly removed his shades and gave me a deadpan look though the rear view mirror “No.”
“oh..”
Slowly the car came to a stop and we were right out side the mansion. Slowly I opened the door and got out. Straightening out my leather jacket and shirt I was suddenly pulled into a rib crushing hug that totally caught me off guard. Confused and curious I just slowly patted her bad while the person hugged the life out of me. Finally I realized it was a little woman who was about 5'1 probably late 40s or early 50s and curly brown hair that was shoulder length.
“Hello Miss Lonnie!” she said cheerfully.
“Hello..”
“Oh silly me! I'm Carmel Raney and this is my husband, David Raney.” pointing to a man grabbing my luggage out of the car and giving me a nod.
“Just call me Mrs. Raney, darling”
“but your name is so pretty, Carmel. Its unique” I can't help but notice when things stand out, standing out was always a good thing to me.
“okay darling. Call me whatever you like” she quickly looked at David who seems to be talking to my mom.
“Okay sweetie. Lets show you to your room” glancing at me with a warm smile that seems to brighten my mood.
As we entered the mansion, I couldn’t help but gasp as we walked it. It was bigger on the inside than the outside. As soon as you walked in, two stair cases curving like a circle, leading to the west wing and the east wing. The walls were a light brown color and the floors were tiled white until they came to the stairs which were a white carpet. I followed Carmel up to the 2nd floor and as we walked down the hall followed by my mom and david, I noticed a movie room and a game room. I noticed many empty rooms, this place could basically be a fucking hotel.
“Okay sweetie.. here we are.” Snapping me out of my thoughts as she put one of my suit cases on the bed.
“Just holler if you need anything.” said David as they left the room.
My room was utterly amazing. The walls were white and my bed frame alone with my dresser was black. My closet was basically another room. I even had my own bathroom. Jumping up and down from amazement I was suddenly stabbed in the heart when I looked at my mom who had a weak smile.
“Mommmmm... I love you so much”
“I know.. I'm just a little worried about leaving you. I mean, my baby is gonna be far away from home.”
“Mom..” reading her like a book, I shook my head back and forth. “I know that’s not whats bothering you.”
“I guess its just the fact that I could never give you anything like this” waving her hand around to the whole room.
“Mom, if this man thinks he can buy me with money.. he has another thing coming. Mom, you gave me everything to the best of your ability and I am forever grateful.. you were there my entire life and cared for me”
Wiping a tear away and smiling like a mad women. “Oh where did my baby go?”
“I wish you could help me unpack.” Forgetting that she wasn’t staying and had to catch a plane ride back to Arizona.
“Oh my. I totally forgot!” checking the time on her phone. “Im sorry baby.. I have to go.” walking to the doorway and turning around. “Take care of yourself, Lonnie. I love you so so so so much.”
“I love you too mom. Call me whenever you can.” She gave me a weak smile before leaving.
My window faced the drive away and I had a clear view of the other houses in the neighborhood.
Leaning my head against the window and watching my mom get back into the black car and driving off. I sighed, my mom left before she changed her mind.
I sat on the edge of my bed and just stared at my ceiling.
This room is so white.. I wonder if I can paint it, since this was gonna be my new room for a year. Definitely no pink! Maybe a lavender color.. that would go good with black curtains. Well shit... I might as well and unpack.
Going straight for my posters than my clothes because this room seriously needed some color. Grabbing my 'Walking dead' poster and placing it on the wall beside my bed and slowly grabbing my ballerina poster and slowly expecting the room.

It took me about an hour and a half of hanging my posters, family photos and putting away my clothes.
Ugh! Finally done.
I fell back on my bed, taking out my phone I checked the time '9:40'. I got up and walk down the hall and try to find the kitchen. The hallways were well lit with a wooden floor. I reached the bottom of the stairs and took left hoping to find the kitchen. Carmel didn't really give me a grand tour.
I reached a room that looked like a kitchen. Searching for the light switch “ Why do I have a feeling tonight is the night I get murdered?” I quietly said while flicking on the light switch. Wow.. this kitchen was huge! It had white cabinets and the table tops are marble. An island table was also marble with pretty yellow flowers in a vase that sat in the middle of the table. I walked over to the fridge and found a pizza hot pocket and a bottle water. I put the hot pocket into the microwave and walked to the living room that was across the wall.
Quickly I sat on the couch and turned the tv, thankfully it was Direct Tv because I know the channels.
Noticing that AMC was having a Walking Dead Marathon, I jumped up and down on the couch. Quickly I ran into the kitchen to get my hot pocket not wanting to miss anything.

'2: 13' was when I finally decided to go up to my room and go to bed. Walking up the stairs I noticed that my “father” wasn't home yet. What the hell. Where is this meeting at? A strip club?
I walked into my room and started to change into my black booty shorts and freddy kugar tanktop when I heard a loud music. I walked over to my window wondering if that was my dad. I looked out when I suddenly noticed that it was coming from the house across the street. A black Audi was in the parking lot, the door opened and god himself stepped out.
Okay Lonnie.. exaggeration much? Very!
He looked about my age maybe a year older. He was wearing a gray beanie, and dark blue jeans and a leather jacket. I couldn't help but noticed how good looking he was. My mouth literally dropped and he seemed to noticed because he was looking at me. I was frozen in my tracks, I couldn’t move or close my mouth.
Way to go, Lonnie! Now you look like a fucking stalker and idiot.
He smirked at me and walked into his house. I quickly turned off the light and laid in my bed.
I definitely need curtains now.... I wonder what he was doing out so late?
I laid in bed letting my thoughts take the best of me and before I knew it. I was out..
