We finally arrived in my hometown, Whiteriver, at 10. Thomas and Hiram thought it would be faster to take a "short-cut" but end up getting us lost. The funeral was tomorrow 10. During the entire drive from airport to Whiteriver we all avoided the subject about the funeral.
"Ughh! Finally, grandma use to drive faster than you!" I got out the car.
"Whatever. Hey! Aren't you going to take in your suitcase?" Thomas opened the trunk.
"No, I am so tired. I'll get it in the morning."
I walked inside, I saw a fire was going in the fireplace and it smelt.. Good.
Someone must be here.. By someone I mean Tia.
"Finally!" I turned around to see Tia standing in the hallway.
"Are you going to stand there like a creep or give me a hug?" She said with a wide smile and opened arms.
I ran over to her and pulled her into a hug. Although we didn't keep in touch when she moved she was still my comfort blanket. She made me feel safe, like she would always protect me. She was like a second mother.
"Well, isn't just a big love fest" we turned around to see Thomas, who was carrying my suitcase.
We all ate the spaghetti Tia cooked for us and got ready for bed. Thomas slept in his old room, tia in hers, me in the master bedroom and Hiram on the couch.
I was brushing my teeth when I heard a knock on the door. Tia came in and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Hey" I said while wiping my mouth.
"So Tj was telling me you have a hot bad boy boyfriend" she wiggled her eyebrows.
I pretended to gag. "Mason is not my boyfriend. He is a bad boy but he is not my boyfriend"
"Tj said he comforted you during your fight with Dallas"
"Yeah, no. Jack Daniels comforted me, he just helped me TP someone's house"
"Do you think he's cute?" She said.
"Yeah, of course but dude.. He's been with everyone at my school" I scrunched up my nose.
"Lonnie, you're no saint either" she mumbled.
"I know but fuck! I didn't sleep with everyone on the rez. Whatever, we're not even friends, he told me he can't hangout with people like me" I huffed.
"Okay. Goodnight" she walked out and turned off the light.

The funeral pasted in a blur, I hardly remember any of it. I know it was nice, they shot off guns, people sang, people from the army paid their respects to me. I was basically a walking zombie, a zombie that looked cute according to Tia. I was wearing black dress with lace sleeves and converse.
Hiram's dad told me that he talked to Dallas and they planned for Hiram to live with us and finish out the school year in Washington. I guess they think I'm on the brink of going insane. Ha. I already was insane before my mothers death.
Now I really have to live with Dallas until I'm 18. Two more year.. I wonder if I can make it through the next two years with Professor Umbridge.
I chuckled out loud thinking about the nickname I gave her.
"What's so funny? I haven't heard you say a word all day" Thomas nudged my shoulder.
"Oh nothing. I just got mad at Dallas and called Ash 'professor umbridge'" I let out another chuckle.
"Ash?" Thomas asked confused.
Oh god.. He doesn't know? I thought he would of ran into her at the house or Dallas told him. I guess not.
"Uh.. Look we're boarding" I quickly changed the subject.
He's in for a surprise.
