Thomas' POV

“Hiram?” I said while he picked up his phone.

“Tj?” he said obviously half asleep.

“Shit dude.. I forgot about the time difference but I got something important to ask you” I said while looking at the clock, 2am, which means it was probably 4am in Arizona.

“What is it?”

“Fly to Washington” I said sounding more like a command than a question.

“and why would I do that?” he said sound a little confused.

“For Lonnie. I know this is a fucking strange request but I know it kills her not having family around for Thanksgiving” I told him.

Maybe I invited him because I also need family around but mainly because Hiram is Lonnie's favorite person in the world, behind me of course and I know she really misses him even if she isn't showing it or telling me.

“Dude.. isn't it thanksgiving already and what about Tia?” he said.

Tia was my sister, her and Lonnie got along very well. They told each other everything and always spent every minute with each other, but when Tia moved away, they became very distant. Its like they never knew each other.

“Tia and Lonnie don't talk anymore, its like they never grew up with each other but look, her dad is filthy rich and I’m pretty sure he can book you a flight and you'll probably get here around 3”

“Her dad? Didn't he bail on her and her mom?” he said.

“Yeah, long story.”

“I don't know, man. This is sort of last minute and I don't know how my dad will act” he said sounding more awake.

“I'll ask him myself. Come on, I know you have two weeks off of school and would you rather spend them doing nothing or visiting Lonnie and me?” I said hoping he'd say yes.

“Fuck.. okay” he said with a sigh.

“Oh yeah. One more thing, don't tell Lonnie. I want this to be a surprise” I said and ended the call.

Cool.. now I just gotta ask her dad. He left Lonnie and her mom when she was like 4 to deal with some personal shit, a pathetic excuse but now I guess he feels guilty about it and tries to buy her love with expensive cars and gifts.

I don't know what time Dallas goes to work or if he even works today, considering its Thanksgiving.

I sat on the couch just waiting and I could feel my eye lids getting heavy.

I woke up and looked around for the clock. 6:14 Shit.. I hope he's awake. I walked into the kitchen to see Carmel running around the kitchen trying to get the food ready. Carmel was the nicest person I’ve ever met, she always had a smile on her face.

“Good morning Tommy” she said while putting her hair into a ponytail to keep it out of her face.

“Morning” I said while a smile. “Need help with anything?” I asked.

“No thank you. Lonnie is gonna help as soon as she gets up” she said while putting the turkey into the oven “I'd thought I’d put the turkey in early” she said while washing her hands now.

“Do you know if Dallas is awake?” I asked.

“He should be. If he's awake he would be in his study”

I nodded my head and walked up the satires to find his study.

This house has like 12 empty rooms and other useless rooms. I finally walked in and I heard him on the phone.

“Yes. Yes I understand that this meeting is important but thanksgiving is also important to my daughter” he said while holding the bridge of his nose.

“Yes. I'll be there” and he hung up the phone and let out a sigh.

Just great.

I knocked on the door while I pushed it open. “Hey” I said. “Good morning tom” It felt a little weird for him to call my tom but everyone called me Tommy, Tom or Tj except Lonnie. She called me by my real name.

“Hey I was wondering if we could surprise Lonnie” I said.

“And how do you want to do that?” he asked while sitting in his chair looking like we were about to deal fucking drugs to each other.

“I was thinking we can fly Hiram out to Washington?” sound like a question.

“That sounds like a great idea” he said while taking out his phone.

“Alright. I'll go call his dad and run it by him” with that I left. That went better than I expected.

~*~

Hiram's dad thought it was a good idea. He thought it would keep Hiram out of trouble. Ohh.. only if he knew that all 3 of us combined was not a good idea but he agreed and Hiram is catching a helicopter from show-low to phoenix and from phoenix to Washington. I guess Dallas agreed to my idea because he was going to miss thanksgiving and is already trying to make it up to Lonnie.

Dallas or not, this is going to be a thanksgiving she won't forget. Not to mention I invited Mason over.

God.. I feel like a girl trying to play cupid, better go check and see if I still have a dick.
