And, of course, welcome to all you beautiful, wonderful members of the Project 99 family!

Many of you will already know what Project 99 is all about, and for those who don't, check out the book "Project 99" or visit our website www.projectninetynine.com for all the details.

As most of you are aware, Suus and I started the second edition of Project 99 at the beginning of August and ever since have been sending out messages asking for one particular favour. Most of these will have looked something like this:

Hi love! I'm messaging you because I've noticed you're one of Birdie's followers, and I'm hoping you'll help us out with something.
Birdie is one of those amazing people that you come across only a handful of times in your life. She is kind-hearted, caring and the single most amazing writer.
I am a member of the Project 99 team. P99 is a way of secretly collecting heartfelt "care packages" for writers who need and deserve a lot more appreciation than they get, and then handing said collection to them in a crash-boom-bang-surprise!-reveal. Care packages can be anything: a short or long message, a picture, a video, anything to show the recipient that they're loved and appreciated.
This edition of the project is for Birdie. She knows P99 is happening, she just doesn't know it's for her (she thinks it's for RubySlippers_).
Whether you know Birdie personally or only know her books or don't know her at all doesn't matter. We at Project 99 believe that treating someone with kindness is not a matter of whether you've shaken hands before.

So, long story short, I was wondering if you'd help us out by sending us a care package for Birdie, telling or showing us (and ultimately her) what she and her writing means to you.
In any case, I hope you join Project 99 and help us celebrate a person who deserves all the love in the world, who deserves to be treated with kindness more than anyone.

Thank you all for becoming a part of the P99 family, for all the love and kindness that you help to spread, for appreciating Birdie as much as we do and figuratively canoodling her in cotton-candy-fluff. Please continue to treat people with kindness.

As always, Project 99.2 - Treat Birdie With Kindness is not "over" or "finished". If you're finding out about this after we've revealed it and still want to join, please feel free to do so. We'll still be adding on to this as long as people want to send in their care packages.

Hey, Birdie? Sorry for fibbing. I'm definitely going to hell for all the white lies that I've told you about this project. (At this point, I think we need a round of applause for the amazing RubySlippers_ for letting me use her as a decoy.)

Birdie, please consider this project the figurative frying pan with which all your friends and fans, Suus and I are smacking it into your head that You. Are. Wonderful.
