You guys are incredible. Absolutely, immensely incredible. There aren't enough words to explain how very grateful I am to every single one of you. To so, so many I was just a random stranger reaching out a hand through the vastness of the internet with a not so simple request: put your admiration for a person into words, a picture, a video, something tangible.
Never in a million years could I have hoped to get such a MASSIVE response. Y'all didn't disappoint. You came to kill with kindness. I was terrified that my outreach wasn't gonna be big enough, that we wouldn't actually manage to reach the goal of 99. I needn't have worried. My outreach probably wasn't big enough. But such is the power of our Mama Bird that people reached out to ME, messaged ME because they wanted to be a part of this project, to be able to show her the love she so deserves. And now we're at 150 or so.
I'm blown away. I am terrible at saying thank you in other words than, well, thank you, but you all have proven once again how amazing this fandom can be, how deeply we cherish our writers, how much we want to help and love and coddle each other in warm hugs and fluffy blankets and feed each other (shroomie) chocolates.
Birdie, thank you again. Just for being you. For being my inspiration, my role model always. What I want you to take away from this project is that you are loved. If you're not gonna write another word ever again, so be it. We love you for you. We love you for who you are; kindred spirit, music enthusiast, loving soul, mother bird, compassionate heart and all that. We love you for your stories, too, but those are just the Cherries on top (get itttt?). I'm sick of calling this a virtual friendship, because what even is the difference anymore in times of facetime and Skype anyway. We can still hang out virtually. You're my friend. You have treated me with such outstanding kindness. I love you, so dearly. And I'm here for you in whatever capacity you need me to be.
P99 familly, what I want you to take away from this is a list of 150 people who will be there for you. Will help you. I am there for you always, just as you have been there to help me make this possible. My DMs are open to anyone at any time.
Again, I bow to you all. Thank you for making this possible. Thank you for being amazing.

Hi lovely people of Project 99,
I want to thank every one of you for joining us. For helping us be kind to another person. You made this all happen, and your help means so much! Not only to the recipient but also very much to us.
Every single one of you has created a masterpiece of your own. You have written stories, made pictures, created films and given hope to not only Birdie but to me too. Sometimes words come in short and this is one of those times. As I'm sitting here writing this thank you note I feel nothing but love.
Your kindness and openness to somebody asking you to help has given me hope for the future. Knowing that there are so many (145+ and counting) people willing to help-out when needed most.
You all are the best people in the whole entire world. And you each deserve a Care Package of your own. Who knows.. Maybe in the future we'll do a Project 99 for one of you guys...
I would like to thank every single one of you by name, but I can't, that would be too long of a list. But there are a two people I want to thank specifically.
Firstly, I want to thank my lovely husband Joshua for making our beautiful website work. He's the one behind the scenes doing all the technical stuff that Sofia and I don't really understand. He's our own Project 99 Tech Team! And Josh, also thank you for keeping me going 😉
Secondly, I want to thank my lovely best friend, Sofia. You all know her as yeahnoshitsherlock. She is the mastermind of this project, the promoter, the marketing manager, the director, the mistress, all of it. She is the one who wanted to help a friend and show some kindness. Most people won't see this, but she works her pretty bum off for this project.
Sofia, I know you don't like to be in the spotlight, but I do really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are the backbone of this team. The biggest support and you are the one that made this all happen.
I would love to do a Project 99 for you. But I can't, it won't work without you. I hope we can do this again and that you'll always keep your kindness and loving heart.
