How did I happen to come across this brilliant writer on IG? Well....it's a long story but I will try to keep it short to not bore you.
A few years ago, I lost my dad. He had a good, long life and we knew it was coming but it broke me in a way that I did not know was possible. I could only cope by making "projects" in my home life. Renos, redecorating, etc. This brought me to IG for ideas and inspiration. At the same time, my insomnia led me to YouTube. YouTube led me to Carpool Karaoke. And following video after video, I landed on the 1D version. Once upon a time, I would have easily clicked past this "pop boyband" but ...hello, insomnia. So I watched. I watched once more. Then 5 times more.

You may have deduced by now that Mr. Styles is what kept drawing me in.....and in deep! Suddenly my IG decor and remodelling ideas turned into Harry stalking and catching up on years of his beautiful voice, energy & spirit. (THANK GOD my fiance is a patient man!!!)

The deep dark Harry-rabbit-hole that I was in led me to our beloved peanutboyfriend and of course armpitsandeggs. And now I can't get out. Who wants to, really tho!

What can I say that hasn't already been said about this sweet woman?
I love her writing style and how her brain works. I love how she gets us into the character's heads and we feel every emotional roller coaster they climb and come down on.
I love their pain, their joys, their sorrows, their victories.

Mostly, I love that she gave me an outlet, for a few hours a week, to escape the emotional loss that broke me. My real life support circle is a strong one, but this IG community and Birdie's stories were mine and mine alone. Mine.

I truly hope her works come to LIFE one day. A movie, tv series, whatever. It really needs to happen.

THANK YOU Birdie. Whatever *your* reasons are for writing what you write, I am grateful for you always. And never forget that you made a difference to this kooky chick in Ontario Canada. Love you xo
