Will Be My Sunshine

II Will

Will heard one of his brothers call him. He instantly knew that someone was on the verge of dying.

"Sorry-" Will turned around to tell Nico he need to attend other matters and would be back later to check on him, but he only saw Nico falling down. Thankfully, Will caught him before he made it all the way to the ground.

He called someone to take care of Nico as he laid him down on the cot.

"I'll be here when you wake up, okay." But Nico couldn't answer.

Will rushed to the front to find a young girl from Cabin 11, a child of Hermes, dying.

She had an arrow sticking out from her chest. Her Camp-Half Blood shirt was soaked in blood and covered by mud. Even from far away he knew the wound was infected. The girl was gasping for air.

He tried to remove the arrow, but his brother, Denis, stopped him, "The arrow went straight through her chest and broke through one of her internal organs." Denis whispered in Will's ear.

Will looked straight at the young girl; she looked about 14, petite face with dark blond short hair. She reminded him of Luke, one of his old friends who had died almost a year ago.

He noticed that her lips where moving. The infirmary was loud so he needed to bend down and press his ear close to her mouth to listen to what she was saying.

"Please if you ever meet my dad, please I beg of you, tell him that I never knew him, but I still prayed to him every day."

He lost it with that.

It had only been about a day that the war with Gaea had happen, but already he had lost so many. Too many for him.

He stood up, "I will" and he walked away.

He didn't know the girl's name, but he was going to find out. Well, he didn't really walk away, actually he ran to the very back corner of the infirmary and found himself staring down at Nico.
For once Nico seemed peaceful, without pain, almost angelic, and Will felt broken on the inside.

Will had lost many campers and it was entirely his fault. He was the doctor; he should've saved them.

Without thinking he pulled a plastic chair and sat beside Nico's cot. Will laid down his head on top of one of Nico's hands and slowly drifted to sleep.

lol I was gonna update this part yesterday, but I needed to finish my homework. I may not update until Friday maybe even till Monday, because I just had to feel sick and leave school early two days in a row. Now I have lots of homework and project I need to work on. But I don't know I may write the chapters in the morning when I'm babysitting and update them then, but I'm not sure. Either way hope you liked this chapter. Will and Nico scenes will come, but first we need to get to know the characters...
