One time Clayton isn't affectionate and three times he is.

Clayton's fingertips brushed against your shoulder, not quite holding onto you but not quite letting go of you either. He looked down at you, smiling softly, but as you leant up to kiss him, he turned away, your small kiss landing on his cheek instead. "You okay?" you asked quietly.

"Yeah, I'm good," he grinned, swinging the bag that was hanging from his hand. "I love you."

"I love you too," you murmured.

However, as soon as you got through the front door, tears started pricking your eyes and you tried to quickly wipe them away.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Clayton pulled you to his chest, pressing slight kisses to the top of your head.

"Are you...are you ashamed of being with me or something?" you whispered and the tears started to run down your cheeks.

"What? No," he moved away, placing his hands on your shoulders. "Why would you think that?"

"It's just that you never want to get close to me in public or kiss me and I know I'm not as pretty as the typical WAG but I thought I was good enough for you," you choked out, unable to look Clayton in the eye.

"(y/n), you are the most beautiful person I have ever met, inside and out, and I never want you to think that you aren't good enough for me. You are everything to me."

"Then why don't you get close to me?"

"Because I don't want to share those moments with the world. I want them to be just you and me. If everyone can see them then they're not as special and I want every moment with you to be special," Clayton stepped forward and brushed your tears with the pads of his thumbs. "I love you so so so much and I don't ever want you to forget that, okay."

"Okay," you smiled and he pulled you back into his warm embrace, whispering sweet nothings to you as you swayed slowly together.

"G morning," Clayton mumbled as he wrapped his arms around your waist and pressed soft kisses to the side of your head.

"Please stop," you laughed, trying to shake him off.

"Why?" he whined, attempting to spin your around to face him.

"Because," you conceded and turned to look at him, "I'm busy trying to make you breakfast."

"And," Clayton pecked your lips, "I'm," another kiss, "busy," and another, "trying to love on you." You looked at his bedhead, and the pout, and the sleepy but loving gaze that was watching you and you sighed.

"Why do you have to be so cute?"

"Well someone has to be in this relationship," he grinned cheekily before kissing your forehead. "Also the food is burning."

"What?" you turned back around and stared at what was in front of you, expecting a charred mess. The food was fine and Clayton was laughing hysterically. "I hate you."

"Mmm you love me," he hummed, wrapping himself around you again.

"No, I don't."

"Yes, you do."

You groaned and pulled your legs up, trying to ease the the pain in your stomach. Whining, you moved again. The hot water bottle was no longer hot but you didn't want to move and lose your current position.

"You're home early," Clayton bounced into the room but immediately frowned when he saw you. "What's up, baby?" he crawled onto the bed next to you and brushed your hair out of your face.

"I'm dying," you pressed your face into his chest.

"Okay. How about I refill the bottle and bring you chocolate and cuddle you? Does that sound good?"

"Yeah," you smiled weakly before groaning again.

"And painkillers," he rolled off the bed, taking the bottle with him, and went downstairs.

He returned a few minutes later carrying a plastic bag and a glass of water.

"What's the bag for?" you stared at him.

"There was too much stuff so I needed to carry it in the bag," he explained, sitting next to you.

"Too much stuff?"

"Yeah. I stocked up on sweets and chocolate and stuff because I knew you were about to start your period," Clayton passed you the water and medicine.

"Wait, how did you know?" you said between sips.

"I may or may not have downloaded a period tracker on my phone," he then pulled out the hot water bottle which was now satisfyingly warm and you placed it on your stomach.

"You are the sweetest human being in the world. Why are you so good?" you yawned, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek.

"Because you're my girlfriend and I love you and I don't ever want you to be in pain."

When you came home and heard Clayton shrieking, "No, no, no," you seriously considered going back to the library. However before you could make your escape, Clayton raced towards you, cheeks flushed and with a bright smile.

"I need to show you something," he grabbed your hand and dragged you into the next room. The couch had been disassembled and was covered in blankets. "I made you a pillow fort!"

"Clayton," you smiled at him before wrapping your arms around his neck and kissing him slowly and sweetly. "I love it."

"It's your turn to pick the movie tonight and I've already ordered the pizza and you get to have my favourite hoodie," Clayton pressed his forehead against yours. "You can't pick The Notebook though because I don't want to cry."

Once the pizza arrived and the two of you were both in sweats with fluffy socks, you crawled into the fort. Clayton had strung fairy lights up inside and already had his laptop waiting. As you lay back on the pillows you pressed your lips to Clayton's and the two of you soon forgot about the food and movie, too busy delighting in the soft, playful touches.

"You're so beautiful," Clayton pulled back, eyes staring into yours while he rested on his forearms above you. "Most beautiful girl I've ever seen," he leaned down and started leaving light kisses down your neck, sucking pink marks onto it every now and then and you moaned quietly, one hand moving up to tangle in his hair. "So fucking beautiful," Clayton mouthed against your hot skin. Then satisfied, he moved back, swiftly rolling over and pulling you on top of him. Swiftly rolling into the side of the fort that is. And just as you were about to press your lips to his again, the fort game crashing down, pillows and blankets strewn around you.

"You broke the fort," you laughed quietly, both of your heads covered by a blanket.

"It's okay," Clayton smiled back, "we would've had to leave it anyway. It was too small for what I felt like doing."

"I dunno, bubs, kinda seems like you were just too clumsy," you joked, all former passion removed by the hilarity of the situation.

"Well the last time I checked, you were enjoying what I was doing," he pouted and pushed you off him before laughing.

"Yeah," you moved to rest your head on his chest, "it was really nice until you fucking killed the fort."

"You're never letting go of this, are you?" he chuckled and his chest moved under your head.

"Nope, never."
