chapter 2: when and how?

Sarada sat shaking on the floor, she had been in this situation once before but her father recognizing her saved her life but not this time. She didn't know what was going on if it was a strange genjutsu that she was trapped in she would have known or at least she thought she would. Ko stood in front of her. "Master Sasuke please... Lady Hinata would not approve of you harming a child. What will your children think? I brought her here for you to help her not harm her..." Sarada looked up surprised that he helped her but was also thankful. Sasuke put his blade down with a sigh but said nothing. Awkward silence filled the room until his eldest walked in, "father lunch is... What's going on?" Sarada glanced back at the older girl with dark eyes dressed in a sleeveless kimono styled blouse and form fitted shorts. She had waist length black hair with bangs that swept to the side and shoulder length strands that framed her cheeks and face. "Sakiyuki... We need to have a family meeting." Sasuke replied. Sakiyuki didn't question and simply gave a nod and walked away. "Ko..." "Yes master the maids and I will tend to the younger ones." He gave a bow and swiftly left. Sarada still sat frozen as everything played out in front of her. she stared at Sasuke now that she looked at him, really looked at him his hair style was different it was more spiky with his bangs covering his eye instead of being flat. "Stand..." Sarada obeyed. "We are going to figure this out but first I must talk with my family." She followed him staring at her feet not knowing how much of a choice she had. The estate was huge and elegant unlike her small humble house. Hinata greeted her with a small smile. Sarada adjusted her glasses. Hinata looked different too her hair was long and in a braid but she still look like a sweet housewife. Sarada glanced at the older girl she saw before she definitely favored Hinata but had Sasuke's eyes and hair. She then glanced at the twin boys that were around her age they wore matching clothes but their hair styles were different. One had short spiky dark blue hair and the Uchiha color eyes while the other had long straight dark blue hair and the Hyuga colored eyes. Sasuke sat making Sarada sit. "Explain..." Sarada adjusted her glasses then took a breath to calm her wrack nerves. "I'm Sarada Uchiha... My team and I where coming back from Iwagakure we missed the train and had to walk but... This Konohagakure is different then the one I live in. I'm the daughter of Sakura and Sasuke Uchiha my teammates are Boruto Uzumaki son of Naruto and Hinata Uzumaki and Mitsuki son of Orochimaru. I don't understand what's going on..." Sakiyuki studied her then looked at her father. "She isn't lying that I can tell and she favors you but I wouldn't have guessed that her mother is Sakura." Hinata stayed quiet taking in all the information. "It would be impossible for you to be living a double life.... You are always here and she looks the same age as Nobara and the older twins." Sakiyuki voiced as she thought of all the possibilities. Sarada looked at everyone at the table then at Sasuke. "We will talk to Shikamaru and Naruto about it immediately but for now this information does not leave this room. We can't have any information leaking of this especially since we don't know what it is." Sakiyuki gave a nod, "understood but I have an assignment I don't think I'm going to be much help..." Sasuke gave a nod in return. "Go now but say goodbye to your siblings before you leave." Sakiyuki stood and hugged her silent mother before poking the twins foreheads then left to say bye to the others. Sarada touched her forehead and looked down. "Sarada..." Hinata called to her. "It will be alright. None of us know what's going on and this is a lot to take in and confusing but... You are welcome here. You are an Uchiha after all." Sarada was surprised and gave a small nod but couldn't look at the woman. "Things will look better after lunch then we can talk to the Hokage and Shikamaru. I'm sure you're hungry." Sasuke glanced at his wife but she wouldn't look at him making him sigh. "Asahi Yuhi... This girl may be staying until we figure out what is going on if that is the case she will be in your care. Be kind to her during her stay." The twins nodded and they ate together. Ko brought the younger children in the dining room which lightened the uncomfortable mood and silence. Sarada studied the new family. This Sasuke seemed more involved and loving towards his children especially the younger ones. He fed the youngest and interacted with all of his children as they ate. Hinata interacted with the children as well but Sarada knew Hinata was a good mother with how she witness her treat Himawari and Boruto so it didn't surprise her. Sarada felt out of place until one of the children passed her a plate of rice balls with a smile. The younger children began to talk to her and she wasn't sure how she felt about it but a warm feeling grew inside as the hour grew she began to smile and laugh a little. It had always been just her mother and her she never knew what it was like to be part of a big family like this but she was starting to get an idea of how nice it could be.
